is this a good show?

i love tool, and have the opportunity to go see them, but it will involve alot of hassle and i am wondering if it is worth it....anyone?

If you´re into the band. Just saw them here in Barcelona a month ago. Better than the first time I say them and that was a great show.

It is THE best show you will see in your life.

I am seeing them July 12th, 13th, and 15th. Only about a week and a half away!

I've seen them a dozen times and I can't get enough.

nice, i am sold then.

:)

I am a tool fan, although I have never seen them.

A coworker and friend of mine went to their show last year and he said it was incredible.

Not only did the band sound great, but he said the stage and visuals they use are very tripped out.

without a doubt, Tool live is one of the most stunning, beautiful, horrifying, amazing concert experiences you can have.

Their visual are awesome and compliment the music perfectly.

Some people say they are "trippy" I do not consider them trippy, just very interesting and entertaining.

Damn, are you one of the roadies or something?! LOL

I wish I could had that schedule but I'll only be going to the one on the 15th at the Forum.

Oh yeah, this might be one of the last tours they have because of Maynard's other projects so see em while you can. You won't be disappointed.

u4ik: I'm a huge pennywise fan too.. I started listening to them before Tool actually... I like fast aggressive energizing music.

Tool will tour again.. it may not be for a while though, but they will write another album and tour behind it.. I'd guess in 2005.

Haven't seen penny in concert yet. The latest album's pretty good.

The last Tool concert around here was early November and I was behind in my classes and had to go with my priorities, but I'll be there this time. 2005 is a long time to wait for the next one.

I've seen Pennywise quite a few times... its a great show... i've been on stage.. they will let you help sing bro hymn..

now THAT sold me!!

Thanks--Karma me!

Seriously, though...I saw Tool from almost the front row (the best thing about being 6'5" is that tiny young girls ask me if I can hang on to them in the crowd so they don't get crushed). A really amazing experience.

Oh, and I got Maynard's own setlist off the floor, and still have it (gaffer's tape and everything). Not a bad trade for the earring that got ripped out of me.

I've seen them in concert, have a few of their cd's but I kinda tired of their melancholy music. Don't think i'll be seeing them anytime soon. Lifter

I find Tool to be anything but melancholy.. i was drawn to them because they are energetic.. friends have described them as "primal" and "raw".. im not sure primal is the right word but its close.

I used to listen to them non-stop before track meets to get pumped up.. I'd have the songs going through my head as I raced.

I love tool and would you believe that they came to my twn and I didn't get t see them? I couldn't get good enough seats. I wanted to be on the floor close to the stage to experience the show, not just see it.

Tool isn't melancholy because they express a whole new experience with pain. While bands like Korn and Linkin and Papa, etc. endlessly complain about how alienated and angry they are, Tool actually fights back against the despair, and refuses to give up. Despite the horrible tortures Maynard's been through, he manages to channel his brutality into action *against* nihilism, rather than just sitting and wallowing in it for the fourth album in a row.
