tofu is it good for you?

I think it is fine as one of your protein sources. Generally, soy protein isolate is used to make silken tofu. Tofu makes an excellent thick shake that you can add anything to --- add some whey to it. While you're at it, add either some cocoa and splenda or some crystal light powder / sugar free KoolAid.

Soy protein supposedly supports your thyroid and metabolism.
 
Soy has also been shown to drop T-levels in male subjects along with a myriad of other negatives for those wishing to put on muscle. I personally won't touch the shit which is no loss for me since I think it takes like shit.

What source have you heard this from? From what I have read, the verdict is still out on whether it decreases beneficial androgen levels, increases estrogen or not. I'm quite sure it does not decrease actual testosterone levels.
