How to reply to the knuckle dragging illiterate blaming Clinton for "Ben Laden"? and the rest who believe that America was attacked on Sep 11 because of it's 'love of freedom', blah blah...
Let's try alphabetically...
A) Allende, Salvador... democratically elected President of Chile who was assasinated by Augusto Pinochet, with the full support of CIA, on (surprise surprise Sep 11, 1972) because he was a socialist (shock, horror!) His assasination led to the 'disappearance' of tens of thousands of Chilean 'dissidents'... i.e. educated free thinking human beings.
B) Battista, Fulgimencio.... The famously corrupt dictator of Cuba prior to Fidel Castro... At one stage President. Truman said... "What are we going to do about this sonofabitch Battista?" and his secretary of State replied... "Yes, he's a son of a bitch Mr President, but he's OUR sonofabitch"... Because he was rabidly 'anti-communist' he was allowed to rape his people for years with the US's blessing... Also the Mafia had him in their pockets.
C) Cambodia.... One of the world's oldest civilizations bombed backed to the Stone Age courtesy of Curtis Le May, Henry Kissinger, Richard Nixon et al... because? Because it happened to share a border with a troublesome little country called Vietnam... heh, why not spread the misery and wipe out any supply routes the Viet Cong might have there! The bombing created such a power vaccuum that eventually those fun loving guys the Khmer Rouge took over and wasted another million the bombs didn't get.
D) Dioxin.... one of the deadliest chemicals known to man.... thousands of tons of this charming stuff was sprayed all over Vietnam and Cambodia during Operation Ranchhand causing untold number of stillbirths, birth defects not only in South East Asia but on American, Australian soldiers there 'fighting for freedom'.
E) El Salvador.... One of many catastrophes in Central America, provoked by America's support of strong 'anti-communists' leaders who did nothing to alleviate the virtual slavery of their people
F) 'French' Indo China... aka Vietnam... whilst the French were surrendering to the Japs without a fight, Ho Chi Minh was fighting a successful guerilla campaign against them in the vain hope that independence would finally come to his beleagured country. but once WWII was over the Allies screwed Vietnam, returning it to French contro till Dien Bien Phu and America etc got mired further.
G) Guatemala.... See E
H) Ho Chi Minh was such a believer in the concept of true democracy and independence for his people that he based Vietnam's Declaration of Independence, WORD FOR WORD on America's Declaration Of Independence... 55,000 American lives later - and a couple million Vietnamese lives later, who knows how many billions wasted - America still treats Vietnam like a pariah (talk about sore losers).

I) Iraq - the US's proxy in the Iran-Iraq War to punish Iran for the hostage taking turns around and becomes an uncontrollable monster YET again.

J) J. Edgar Hoover - the greatest blight on America in the 20th Century... the Mafia set him up in his early days, and blackmailed him with photos of him in drag for 40+ years. He thus spent his miserable life insisting on fighting the Communist 'menace' whilst steadfastly denying their was such a thing as 'organized crime'
K) Kurdistan.... screwed yet again by the West - most recently after '91 Gulf War. Does W really think they're going to rise up and throw Saddam out after Daddy abandoned them to Saddam's tender mercies the last time?
L) Lumumba, Patrice... Another democratically elected 'socialist' leader of the Congo, assasinated with the full cooperation of the CIA.
M) is for Marcos, one of the world's greatest tyrant/kleptocrats propped up for 20 + years by the US, because he was rabidly 'anti-communist' at the expense of the Phillipine people.

As hideous and heinous as Sep 11, 2001 was, the miracle is that someone from Central America or South America or South East Asia or Central Africa etc didn't try it years earlier (I mean after all, life in those places is cheap, right?)

Afghanistan, a country which, in direct contrast to Saudi Arabia, isn't chock-full of our current Preznit's daddy's business partners.
T) is for Terrorism; a plastic, convenient, catch-all excuse to crack down on dissent at home, and resistance to hegemony abroad.
U) is for Usama bin Laden, which is Osama's real name, which the State Department refuses to recognize because they can't abide the fact that the criminal mastermind behind the worst terrorist attacks ever to hit North America has a name that begins with the letters U, S, and A. That's how silly they can be.
V) is for... um... PASS!
W) is for the Warren Commission; which provided the obfuscatory, engineered-to-produce-a-pre-determined-outcome model emulated by each and every subsequent government-sponsored "independent investigation," no matter how sincere the efforts of the investigators involved.
An "X" usually marks the spot where our "smart bombs" are supposed to hit. Unfortunately, they seem to have a disturbing habit of finding their way into bomb shelters, hospitals, orphanages, and the embassies of nations that don't support us as vocally as we would like them to.
Y) is for Yemen; gateway between the Arabian peninsula and the most dangerous parts of Africa, so the danger is almost as thick as the stench. Chock-a-block with Al Qaeda.
Z) is for Zapata; the name of George Herbert Walker Bush's first oil company, and the secret, CIA code name for the Bay of Pigs invasion.
