I get home tonight and check my email addy. It seems that someone took the liberty to email me a very personal email. To this person I say this...

You may doubt my abilities as a strongman...but you will never doubt the heart that I possess inside to compete and to never quit. I may not win that contest and may NEVER win my PRO card...but I will do everything inside of me to try. I will fight that day with every ounce of heart and desire that I have...and still may never win...but I really don't need YOU to tell me that.

As far as my personal life, financial situation, sponsorship needs, and being poor...thanks a lot for kicking me while I am here. Why say things like that to anyone? Why tell someone these things...and in such detail?

Loser for living with my parents? I will be 25 VERY soon and yes I still live with my mother and father. Is that such a bad thing? I am also in school... I can not afford a place of my own...

All I can say is this...I hope that I see YOU in STL on October 5, 2002. I hope that you have to watch me give it everything that I have. I may never win...but at least I will go out a warrior...and you will be there to see it.

I had the opportunity to meet BFold when he had a contest here near where I live. He didn't know me, yet he was incredibly nice to me, gracious, and friendly.
Not to mention strong as hell.

Of all the jerks and egos on this board, to try a personal attack on BFold seems the strangest route to follow since he is neither a jerk, nor has an ego.
I had the opportunity to see some of the egos he competed against - and he beat them. They came up with all kinds of excuses and reasons why they couldn't live up to what they said they would do - while BFold just was quiet, smiled, agreed with them and didn't press it further.
That alone is a very good sign of a true champion.

BFold, I know that you will do well at that contest, and more importantly (since what I know means nothing) - you know you can and will do well. You have the support of so many here, but what matters is what comes from inside.

I wish you the best, and even though I can't make it out there to watch - I want to hear all about it after it is done!
