Roadblock

I wonder if a 14000-17000£/year salary is good?
I thinking about moving there and I´ve got an joboffer

You'll struggle.. especially in London.

The average UK salary is 20k. To be honest you need 25k at least to survive in London. 17k is the average graduate salary.

Rents vary, but forget Central London - 14k - 17k is not enough. Rents there are around 6k per year EACH for a SHARED house. A flat would cost you 12k per year.

If that salary if for somewhere up north - you'll fare better. But remember, our food is twice as expensive as USA. Our supplements are around 40% more expensive.. in fact, everything from cars to mountain bikes, camcorders to computers is 40% or thereabouts more expensive than the USA.

Our weather is also very very bad.

On the plus side - steroids are legal and very cheap.

Still want to come?

$ 1.414200 per Pound is the current exchange rate.

So currently it's equal to $19,798 to $24,041.

So it's Shit IMO.

I´d be moving to Sale in Manchester.´
By the way, I´m from sweden and 17k/year would be a really good salary here.

As I am writing this I am listening to a report on tv...

average house-price in London 120k.. last year it was 110k. Average UK house price is 100k... this is the price for a basic small home. 60% of the Uk population now cannot afford to buy a house. If you cannot buy, you rent.. but here's the irony.. rents are 20-50% higher than mortgages. Tax is 25% lowest band... Then there is council tax, etc..

Dude, I am from the UK... but I hate my country. It sucks.. Our trains are fucked.. Our police force is fucked.. Our weather is fucked.. We are called 'rip-off' Britain for a reason. I cannot tell you anything other than the truth (IMO)...

Sale, Manchester is a depressing place. Manchester in general is a depressing place.

Enjoy.:bawling:

This would explain why you are such a whiney bitch?

The Avg Home Price in the U.K would make a lot of Americans go "I'll take two and use the other for all my shit I keep in the garage!"
