TNE in Oil Experiment

I tried to brew TNE in Oil at 100mg/ml.

I have been brewing TNE in water but am unhappy with the solid matter I through away towards the bottom of each vial. I am looking for a better way to suspend with less waste. I cannot filter my TNE in water cause it solidifies in the filter.

I didn't have a recipe for TNE in oil so I copied my TNE in Water Recipe:

TNE Powder 4g
BB: 10% 4ml
BA:2% .8ml
Polysorbate80: 3% 1.2ml
Oil 31ml


It semi-solidified within five minute of filtering. I could not shake it to liquid again.

The next day I added BB to total 20% BB and PSB80 to total 6% PSB80, heated the vial and it remained suspended.

I have injected it three times now. I have felt injection pain before. I have used a lot of suspension and have injected PGF2a, which is VERY painful.

But this stuff wiped me out. It was very painful and caused major swelling. I have been eating ibuprofen to deal with the pain and wearing loose clothing to hide the absurdly swollen body parts.

Any ideas?

did you say this is the same as your TNE water recipe, except w/ Oil? so all other numbers are correct, except you use 31ml's water instead of oil?

I've been trying to find a TNE recipe. where do you get polysorbate80?

Yes, same as in oil.

Concentration 100.0 mg/ml
Total Volume 40.0 ml
Powder 4.0 Grams
BA 0.8 ml@2%
BB 4.0 ml
PSB80 1.2 ml
Oil/Water 31.0 ml

You put the (filtered)water and ba in the vials, heat the powder, bb and PSB.

Add the heated mixture to the vials 1ml at a time and shake well.

I get PSB80 from Research Supply.
