Just doing some research on cutting cycles and the whole competion thing.

I was wondering a few questions;

How do you know how long to diet for? I mean do you have to get a body mass measurement or is there some other way of knowing?

What do most bodybuilders do in the last week before a competition? regarding carb intake and water intake.
 
Every question you asked cannot be answered. It simply is too individual. Where some can get into shape in six weeks others may need six months. You know how long to diet by practice and experimentation. Every guy does the final week different from the other. Some carb depleat and load...others just load....yet others make no changes. Some manipulate sodium and potasium, while some use diueretics. If you asked 100 different competitive bodybuilders how they got ready for thier show you would get 100 different answers.
