I'm not as hostile and aggressive as some of you young ne'erdowells. My only priority is protecting my family. While i'm all for defending our country, nuking a desert isn't going to prevent a raving lunatic with a "cause" , from blowing himself up in a building that my wife and baby happen to be in.

I look at these current terror alerts two ways:

1) Gov't covering their ass after all the information coming out about possible foreknowledge of 9/11 and there really are no new terror threats.
2) They have significant information and are doing damage control before anything even happens, so they can say "well....we warned you."

I still maintain that if you really didn't want people to fuck with us - there is only one real solution - but it wouldn't really be all that well liked.
everytime anything happens to us, just lob a nuke randomly somewhere on the globe. doesn't have to be at all related to what just happened or who did it.
for instance, the twin towers are knocked down - nuke Iceland.
they crash a plane into the Pentagon - nuke The Phillipines.
Other countries would be like "FUCK!!!! they just did shit to the states again, for all we know we are gonna get nuked!"
what it would effectively do is make the rest of the world look out for shit happening to the States and preventing it so that they don't get fucked in the ass for it.

Say you are on a big school yard and in a crowd of kids. There are lots of little normal boys there, and then one big kid that is a little slow, and a lot crazy. some little prick walks up to him and punches him in the stomach. the big dumb kid in a fit of rage kicks the asses of two random kids in the crowd. this happens over and over until eventually other kids will hold back any kid dumb enough to want to punch the big dumb kid.

as a soldier who has read a lot about this since it came out i feel we should totally occupy the middle east countires that start shit,mainly afghanistan,iraq and pakistan and seal the borders

I have a nice solution, some what along the lines of what was offered up on prevuious posts. Make this simple announcement..."Anyone caught terrorrizing the United States or any of its interests will have the following actions as a result
1. When your identity is uncovered, Either by capturing you, or dental records, or one of your smelly muslim groups like jihad claims responsibility, there will be massive retaliation.
This retaliation will come in one or more of the following ways, depending on what kind of mood we are in at the moment...
A. We will kill massive amounts if not your entire terrorist group that you affiliate with.
B. We will destroy vast regions which you call your home.
If we find out that the terrorrist attack was government sponsered, we will
A. Bomb government buildings at our descretion (like maybe one for every person that got hurt)
B. Destroy a military base or 2.
C. Destroy some section of your utilities (water, electricity, etc)
D. Kill your government officials.

That is all.

Exactly. I am glad some one understands what i am trying to express. If a terrorrists act (such as blowing up a military base or building) is discovered to be government sponsered, then 3 of that countries buildings or bases will be destroyed. If it was a terrorist organization that was responsible, then the area harboring them will be destroyed.

I am currently deployed at BAGRAM AIR BASE in Afghanistan our flag is currently at half mast due to the fact that a special forces soldier was killed a few days ago. Manny78 I just sat down at chow with canadian soldiers,italians and polish soldiers also.We are under the 10th mountain division and the 82nd airborne division will be here later this summer. I have been in bosnia and kosovo, and macedonia on deployments but this is one of the harshest environments I have seen to date.DUSTY AS HELL and the wind can blow at 40 mph in a heart beat. The dry air along with the heat can really fuck with your mind. I am on orders for a year and we can be extended for up to 2 years. Keep your eye on IRAQ because if that breaks out things will really heat up. All this talk of nukes is CRAZY and I pray in my lifetime that NEVER happens. god bless you all ....... These people are no push overs and when I see the stockpiles of old russian tanks and migs,helicopters and other equipment I know we are here for the longhall.
