Can anyone give a good reason why time relased is bad for you or why time released is not effective. I know some people that freak out and say that it is not good for you. But I don't see where the danger is? can someone enlighten me on this?

Time released vitamins are good (even better than regular ones)

time released proteins are neither bad nor good, that is just marketing hype: instead of whey alone they add casein to slow the absorption time
It'll buy it be more expensive, bot more effective

I'm with you Anthrax. timed release is good in my mind, but any reason why a vitamin timed release could be bad?

ok.........just work with me....... this lady had colon cancer, and has some of the colon cut out or some kind of colon opperation. anyway ,she said that the doc said time released was bad for her because of her lack of a colon. I know most people don't have this situation, but I would like to know.

I am sorry for this lady...

but we are neither old sedentary people nor people w/o a colon
We need extra vitamins
"regular" vitamins are highly dosed and I don't think you can absorb all the vitamins unless they are time released

The colon is part of the intestines. So if the time release vitamins are not obsorb by the body before it gets their it just becomes waste excreted.

yeah, most normal vitamins have a large dose and not all are absorbed. i like enzymatic's vitamins. you have to take three, but you can split it up throughout the day.

True, we are some young straping, colon having dudes. But I just want to know every stiuation. you know what I mean? Not just ours. so on the whole, once again, I agree with you. timed is cool, but i was asking basicly for any obscure info about timed released
