Time On = Time Off?

Ok so the general concensus here is the amount of time that your OFF should equal the amount of time that you were ON, right?

But how many of you actually do that. Some of you never come off, and IM sure that many of you do follow the recommended protocol. My question is, if you finish PCT and get blood work done, tests show your natural levels fully restored, is it necessary to wait the rest of the time? Or is it alright to jump right into the next cycle?

Blood work is key...time on = time off is a general guidline, but if your blood work comes back and your good to go, then its ok to jump right in again..unfortunatly not alot of people get blood work done before and after

My last cycle was 12 weeks. I'm planning on taking 8 weeks off then starting again. BUT, I have a scheduled blood test at week 7 so that will ultimately be the determining factor.

Example anecdote: I've heard that some pros have blood work ran every 6 weeks to make sure everything is good to go, and they're "ON" year round.

Then again, it depends on what your goals are whether or not to keep going even if you are healthy.

I have mine done reguarly, the only issues I ever see, even from running constantly, is cholesterol getting out of whack when I cut out cardio and use orals, with exception of the higher test / igf-1 levels that is. I have not been off for a year, but have not "cycled" since April other than with IGF-1. I just started a cycle, meaning more than maintenance, this week. Yesterday I was puny, today I'm big again :)

If someone wants to get blood work done...what are they supposed to be looking for exactly? I know like liver values and cholestoral but does anybody have a list of what I should be asking to be tested for?

Call me stupid, but I don't know the process. What kind of doc do you go to? If I make an appointment and walk in with the above list, aren't they going to wonder why? "You know doc, I was taking a dump this morning and I was just curious about my testosterone and IGF-1 levels. You think we could run some tests?"

lol... good point.

Possibility: "Uhh, Doc. I've been lagging on my weekend game playing softball with the guys, I just want to make sure all my "manly" levels are up to par."

- maybe?

LOL..no im sorry...i hear what your saying...my doc is cool so he knows...anway just ask for your hormone and cardiovascular levels to be tested....some of these DO raise "red" flags with docs...keep that in mind...these are not "common" test that they do all the time...

Do you guys just tell the doc straight up, Ive just recently finished a cycle and i wanna get my blood tested, will they know what your talking about? If theres one thing ive learned in the past, its not to lie to your doc.

I have to believe this really is a question or concern for many newbies/bros, that keeps them from getting bloodwork done. In general, we all know that the doctor - patient relationship is supposed to be privileged and confidential. Yet are we saying the gloves come off if there is suspected foul play -gunshot wound, stab wound, controlled substance overdose - would you lump suspected or admitted AAS use in that?

Sorry for threadjacking, but does anybody know of a doctor that ratted out a bro for wanting to look after his health and get proper bloodwork done when cycling?

Once I had blood tested for employment purposes......I went to a lab facility in a stripmall, they took me into a room, drew blood, and I walked out after just a couple minutes and they mailed me results a few days later. Of course that was pre-arranged, and they were just drug screening, not looking for the things we are desiring. I never even saw a doctor. However, if something was out of whack with your cycle bloodwork, I am sure you would like the doctor to tell you about it and discuss it with you.

It is a shame if bros are afraid to go to the doctor.......

Your best bet is to check out www.directlabs.com. Pick the tests you need and they will give you a list of labs in your area, pick the lab and get the draw done. Direct Lab will give you your results, no Doctor needed at all. Best idea when you dont want to have to try to figure out BS answers for something that is out of wack.
