He has that thing called the gay "gene".

Which gurantees that he will be overly educated, successful beyond belief, a world traveler, jacked with muscles with a minimum exercise routine, and have beautiful women falling over him left and right.

Not necessarily.

There's a couple of gays at my uni who are quite dumb.

Which is why I found them strange.

Gays are normally very driven to succeed. Assumming of course they're not alcoholics or druggies(Which a lot are unfortunately)(I'm talking crack etc... btw).

your a young man 17, are you really sure you are gay?

Very sure, when I kissed a girl for the first time it felt very wrong. I was much more comfortable with my ex boyfriend.

I bet ya that the vast, vast majority of kids who think of themselves as gay when they're 17 do that when they're 27 as well. Sure, there are exceptions and he just might wake up one day and say "phuck it, i'm straight as an arrow" but so what? He seems pretty together to me and also seems like a good guy and he's certainly not hurting anyone else so why not let him be whatever he thinks he is here and now and not question him on it?

Straight, gay, jewish, black, blah, blah, there's no fucking difference at the end of the day if you ask me.

Fonz,

Those guys are not gay. They are breeders in their "experiemental phase".

Trust me... they just want to the rep of homo out there in case one of their professors offers "extra credit" when they are failing.

Perhaps gays are so driven to succeed because they feel as though they need to make up for their "inadequacy", whether real or merely perceived, due to their homosexuality.

Inadequacy? I highly doubt any of use perceive us as that way? We usually possess the better body, the better atheletic skills, the better looks, the better success, etc...

Why would we be inadequate?

They're not.

But maybe some gays feel as though they are because of the social stigma surrounding homosexuality.

It makes little sense that gay people get the "best genes" that allow them to be much smarter, more muscular, and generally more successful than the average person.

Of course it makes a difference!

As AAP pointed out we are more advanced.

And back to you on the good guy comment…for a hetero I mean…

Good point.

An analogy one could use albeit a bit rough around the edges is the stigma associated with AAS use and the stigma associated with being gay.

In one case(AAS), you have to strive to be completely in control of your emotions or any outburst will undubtedly be blamed on the AAS.

With gay people, I think its more family stigma. Unless your family has accepted your gayness(Most don't, specially if religious), you want to show them that you can succeed at much more than they can.

Gays are more vain simply because the gay pool is rather small. Survival of the fittest. :)

Still, haven't really seen a fat gay man.....(I'm talking obese here)...w/ a paunch yes....but FAT...no.
