im lust curious after seeing so many of u using insulin i just want toknow the purposes/benifits from it..No i do not intend on expirementing w/ it. i feel its just to risky...my family is prone to diabetes, my grandfather recently passed bcause of it, also my grandmother and X-wife is a RN i briefly mentioned it to them, they say "waayyy to dangerous" givin my family history. but my question is WHY, what good comes out of it??---AGAIN i have NO intensions on using,, just simply curious for knowledge....

In layman's terms: insulin sends a message to the body that there is sugar (carbohydrates) in the blood stream and activates receptors throughout the body to start absorbing nutrients. BB's use it to "trick" the body into taking up more nutrients into their cells than they normally would. More nutrients, fuller cells, more mass. No doubt about it working...but at a very high price.

high price being what???...dangers?---again, no intensions on experimenting simply gaining knowlege

I would call death a major side effect. Insulin tricks the body so effectively, if too high a dose is taken, it will "take" all sugar out of the blood, not leaving enough for the brain to function. If sugar isn't slammed in immediately, the brain will shut down and you will go into hypoglycemic coma. Overdose is only one way this can happen. An unknown infection, a drug interaction or even over-training can cause it too. I've seen it happen more than a few times...Not very pretty.

Sounds like you are thinking it can make you diabetic. This is not true. There has never been a case where insulin use made someone diabetic. Maybe if you stayed on 24 hours a day for a few years. But no BB has ever done that and would be impossiable really with humalog or humalin-R. I use and love it but I work as a paramedic. I deal with it on a daily basis. To use insulin a person really needs to know pretty much everthing about.

Death a side effect never heard that. If you saw that on a bottle of pills would you take them?

Hmmm....Not to disrespect paramedics (I have worked with some of the best) but I seriously doubt their training involves the advanced knowledge of pharmacology and pathophysiology that it takes to fully understand insulin resistance...something that is not only possible, but is known to occur in some individuals receiving exogenous insulin. This was particularly true prior to the recombinant varieties being developed due to antibodies being produced against the insulin. This state, did in fact induce diabetes.

I am also in med school currently. Ilearned guite a bit about this more last year. But if you can produce edvidence, on a documented case of this, I will bow down and tell the them to rewrite the textbooks.

My quess would be if they did become diabetic in this study they were using a long release insulin. Not Huamlog or humalin-R because the half-lifes of these drugs are to short. When used in BB there is far more time through out the day where you are producing your own insulin then actual time with exogenous insulin.

The rest of what has been said here is very true. If a person is going to die of hypo coma I think it would be more likely be because of infection or over-training. Otherwise the sign are to clear not to notice if your sitting on the couch. I have seen a young guy 17 took insulin preworkout and eat nothing. It took us 15mins to get there. He was done a long time before that.
