This may be hopeless...

I have spent the last two months trying to get the proper information and do things the right way to work in the US, and it's getting to seem hopeless!
I have been getting so discouraged cuz we are sent in circles over and over again. If I can get through to a number from my area I am on hold forever or get an automated answering service! Then some rude person eventually directs me to a website with more phone numbers that cannot be reached from my area...My future employer is going nuts too trying to get straight answers of how to get me there - I am surprised he's still interested in this at all! This afternoon I spent 3 1/2 hours at it again! I even tried calling an immigration lawyer to get advice! Unfortunately he never did return my call!

I am getting so frustrated I'm about to just give up and say forget it! I just wanna get there already!

Anyone know if those immigration sites for helping you get a visa really work? I almost signed up at one today, but it is $25.00 per e-mail...Anyone a lawyer? Or got any lawyer friends that know about immigration?

Plenty of phone numbers there to talk to a live officer at the port. Call as many and politely ask whatever you want and get an answer straight from the horses mouth. Calling in the evening is preferred cuz they're less busy.

Don't waste your time on those 1-800 INS numbers. Those are for mexicans to call. They get routed to call centers.
