Thickest oils????

Cottonseed, Grapeseed and Sesameseed. In order...which is the thickest to thinnest oil?

grapeseed is the thinnest that I know. As for the others its a tough call

There isn't a whole lot of difference, but I prefer grapeseed b/c I like my gear to go through a slin pin.

I like to use a 25g pin so viscosity means the world for me so I go to the store and purchase some grapeseed oil. I have also hears walnut oil is thin

I always use grapeseed oil cause its much easier to filter than cottonseed.

My poor thumbs thank me for it.

I use walnut for everything.......much thinner then grapeseed. Very good stuff.....a shot of 500mg/ml enan and 500mg/ml eq goes through a 25g no problem.

Gee Low...thanks for telling me now. Now that I already ordered oil from lemange.com! That shit is cottonseed. What you think I was going to use it for?

why purchase oil from a company when you can go to the local grocery store and get it there? All you have to do is bake it for a bit to sterilize it. Soo much cheaper that ordering online

LMFAO! I didn't even know you can do that! So basically all oil from the supermarket is cottonseed or sesameseed....just NOT sterile? And to steriliz e it, all I have to do is bake it?

But, all oil that I buy from a company IS already sterilized right? Hey Low! Is the oil from Lemange.com already sterile???

I buy my walnut oil from the health store....it's cooking oil. I have been home brewing for a few years now. I don't bake ANYTHING. You have to filter the final product into the sterile vials.......so it gets sterilized (enough for our purposes) either way. Waste of money to buy sterile oil. And if you do bake the final product (not neccasary, argue away) you have done everything that they did to your oil to clean it anyways.

Oh.....and it doesn't have to be a certain type of oil. Fuck, crisco can work.....virgin olive even. I just finished up some 500mg/ml enan that I made with that.

Carth think about this. Grapeseed oil from the local grocery or health store will run you $5 for 473ml (16oz). Now that is plenty to cover almost anyones homebrewing.

Wesson vegetable oil. preservative free (i even called wesson to verify this) and is 100% soybean oil...if you look at viscocity charts, soybean oil is the thinnest of all available injectable ois. Ive used this a bunch and its never been a problem for me nor several of my friends =)
