These damn tribute songs...

Night Fly

New member
Every time I hear one, it makes me want to bawl my eyes out. Just hearing people talking about what was going on...like..."OH my GOD, a plane just crashed into the world trade center" (in their frantic voices. It tears me apart...

This is still getting to me, and it will for a very long time. I am sure that I am not alone with this. I am usually okay (not really thinking about it much), until I turn the TV, radio, or anything else on....then all hell breaks loose in my mind.

This is so devestating. I could never imagine what those people in NY are going through. I know that this has been posted a million times already, but my prayers and condolences go out to everyone whom this has directly affected and even those who have not been directly affected.

God Bless

I'm talking about songs that were already written, but new clips and audio clips of witnesses and victims have been put in. Not the songs that are written just because of this tragedy.

Yes, some of them do make me cry...and I am not ashamed to admit that.

Yes, I know that. :) I have plenty of it, too. I can't help it I have a sensitive heart!

I wish so much that I could go up there and help all those rescue workers...or just help in the hospitals. I am in nursing school...I know how to do a bunch of stuff. If they needed more people I would drop everything right now and go.

They're all the same to me. It's just MTV making a spectacle of itself, as usual. I really don't care to tune into MTV and here some sappy depressing song with footage of people swan diving out of a skyscraper. I don't, nor would I ever want, to know what those people went through in their last moments.

Good gosh....I am not watching MTV...I am not talking about MTV. Nevermind...obviously they have no effect on you...so whatever. They do to me, and that is what I was posting about...

I've only come across them on MTV, and you're right, they don't affect me because I change the channel very quickly so I don't have to put myself through that.

Well, maybe I should start doing that, too. That sure sounds like a good idea...
