The year is 2004......

The BushBarians have now attached Saudi Arabia and gasoline is selling for .99/gallon in many states. Because of this, the economy is rolling and people are once again lining up to purchase 7.3 litre engines to transport their 270 pounds of lard.

The BushBarians have now endowed their collection of international chalets with palaces in both Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Only the finest reserves of the Napa Valley caubernet savignons and merlots are served with each of their meals. Their investments in Asian technological manufacturing have reaped enormous dividends.

The media has almost completed its consolidation and is thoroughly in their hip pocket as all "news" is constucted upon the tenet of what will serve to increase corporate profits. There is a lively third party but the media is strongly advised to ignore them and toss in a little ridicule as well.

With campaign contributions flowing in rivers, the coffers allow untold amounts to be stuffed into personal pockets and go unnoticed. Or does it simply go unreported?

Terrorism is still used to scare and manage the masses but the next brewing world war is an economic one. The opponents are the EEC led by France and the Imperial....err...I mean the United States. The attachment of foreign nations is building up to a fever pitch as indigenous natural resources are crunched through a cost-benefit analysis, and compared to others, prior to a military overthrow..............

Stay tuned for further developments.

C'mon guys, I spent at least two minutes on this lil scenario. I was hoping to stimulate some meaningful discussion though that is usually a lost cause.

I remeber making a thread about farts............best seller.

Haha sorry I didnt know you wanted that type of reaction.
You know me, I agree with most of it. I dont know if all this will happen by next year, but you never know these days. What I DO know is that if we did attack S.A. then chances are we would be at war with the entire middle east.

Well that does make sense. We would not care too much about attaching the resources of Iran and Syria so the battling, I think, would mostly happen in SA and Iraq.

I'm no military planner though.

Not only that but the majority, well pretty much all of the world would despise us.

(Im waiting for 2Thick to post saying they already do)

Well he is not the only one.

The BushBarians are probably telling the world, "So what are you going to do about it?"

This Israeli pipeline is very bad business.

Saudi Arabia makes 100 times more sense to me than Iraq. Hell, Iraq would have got scked in months if Iran found out it had no WMD.

I thought for sure 2thick would be the first to reply:D

He has been strangely quiet since I started getting after the BushBarians. He used to help me when I was in line with King George. Curios.

Come to think of it....all of the mods have been quiet around me since..............well..........ahemmmm.........oh well.

Call me immature but I think farts are funny:D When I read your 2004 scenario I was thinking that you put a lot of thought into it. It was really thought provoking. Good thread.

Well I can think a lot in two minutes. Thanks.

Interesting Plato quote. I read some of his stuff and do not remember that. Goes to show how many things never change....sounds like me except I yearn to own a 12" penis.

Shit....I hope you are a chick. That would sound weird otherwise. :alien:

Testosterone Boy, did you ever get that AOL thing figured out?

I tried to set up Trillian like jnuts suggested. No idea if it works or not.

I keep things things simple with computers and can still recall about 60 nightmares from trying about 90 things.

We'll have to see if it works when Frack is about.

ya will need an account on the service you plan on using...so sign one up for msn, aol, icq and you'll have everybody covered. (I don't use MSN, 'cause I'm not hip on their passport thing)

OK....I'm trying to get AOL AIM going. Been making spaceship sounds for 5 minutes and counting.

Speaking of Saudi Arabia and oil prices, gasoline prices have been dropping like a rock in water around my neck of the woods.

That sounds pretty close - maybe a coup or something instead of all out war but who knows. I dont know if there are any viable opposition groups that we can arm for this so they can attack us a decade later

Could you elaborate on that last sentence? Not sure what you are saying.

He is suggesting that, like Iraq and Afghanistan, we will help put someone into power and then 10 or 20 years later they will have to be removed by us because they begin to "promote terrorism" or "create weapons of mass destruction."

Seems that being friends with the US is a very dangerous undertaking for national leaders of LDCs?

Whoops....there are only 47 less developed countries according to the data I just reviewed. I had always considered Afghanistan and Panama to be LDCs. Even Iraq in my book.
