The truth about Accutane?

Hey, I've crossed a new bridge in my life and decided to go on Accutane.....40mg only once per day. I know its been said before here, but I would like to know what your experiences have been with this drug. I am nervous about the following:

1.)Dry Eyes (I wear contacts)
2.)Initial Break Out....you know it gets worse before it gets better, and I do go back to school in a week
3.)Hair Loss...I know this happens to very few

I think the dosage I'm taking is pretty small, so hopefully I won't run into any of these. The chapped lips I can deal with. I want to get my 5 months over with now so I don't have to worry about avoiding the sun. The rules with Accutane are going to change within the next few months, so if i am ever going to try it now is the time. I know a lot of you have tried it, so i'm curious to know how much of a miracle drug this really is

All my friends use Accutane to treat acne problems which result from AS cycle. None had any complications and all reported good results.

Have been on accutane cycle for nearly one year-started with 40mg per day -currently down to 20mg twice a week. I wear hard contacts and experienced almost no dryness in my eyes to where it would interrupt wearing them. My lips are dry constantly but blistex takes care of that easily.I drink lots of water. Experienced no mood swings-at least not from the accutane- and have completely cleared up the 'roid acne on my back and shoulders. As my dermatologist told me-a lot of the complaints about accutane are way overblown for the general population.
