DAMMIT...this thread made me too impatient to wait...I went onto a fan forum and read what happens in the finale. Vic lived, which was the important thing for me. Sure, he's stuck in a shitty desk job for a few years...but by not killing him off it leaves the possibility that he could be back in a miniseries down the road. I hate that Ronnie didn't go with his gut instinct and run for Mexico before he got grabbed tho.

Yeah, and Shane offing himself and taking Mara and his boy with him is pretty fucked up.

It really wasn't the ending I expected or had hoped for.

Vic's fate was worse than death, and that crazy long shot of him just sitting there at the end told the tale.

Damn. Just finished the last episode about an hour ago. The ending was good, but not like what i thought might happen. I figured vic, shane, and ronnie would all end up dead. At least that would be better than jail. And yet Vic ended up in a prison of sorts. He lost his family, friends, way of life, power and is alone.

Can't believe its over. Best cop show ever.
