The Post Office sucks!

What a half assed operation. What's the fucking point of tracking numbers anyway?

I had a package sent out on Wed (or thur, can't remember) and it was sent to me priority. Cool, I get a tracking number with that. Well, no package by monday so I checked the number. Said it had been delivered on saturday. The package didn't actually get to me until tues afternoon! WHAT THE FUCK?!?! What good is a tracking number if the information is wrong.

I have another package coming in, sent out June 14, arrived in the city on the 17th and "delivered" at 7:52 am on the 18th. What wrong with this? Aside from the fact tht I haven't gotten the package, they don't even deliver that early!

I called to local post office to ask if they had my package. Nope. And since the tracking number says it's been delivered already, there's no way to find it.

How the fuck can you scan a package as being delivered and it not even be at the local branch?!?!?!?

I have contended strongly that the fall of modern postal services is due only in small part to the evolution of e-mail and the internet.

The US has been starving for alternative, reliable and timely service for DECADES.

I only hope that the USPS either goes out of business in the next ten years or they get their shit together and make postal services more efficient, timely and easy-to-use.

Amen.

Ya know, I can fully understand the mail taking longer these days since they are shipping most everything ground (since sept 11) even though they advertise 2-3 days for Priority.

What I can't understand is how they can scan a package as being delivered when they have no idea where it is! How the fuck are they doing this? It was scanned as arriving at the local station as well as being delivered when it hasn't even gotten here!

now they want to raise the postage rate to 37cents for a letter. I can remember when it used to cost 25cents to mail something. What a rip, and they complain about loosing money due to the internet...Duh, its cheaper.
