What I wonder about is why they stalk like vultures to get a picture of her crossing the street. I could understand if they were getting a pic of her getting a lap dance at a strip club or sunbathing nude. But she's crossing the street with a shopping bag! Why is that such a photographic event?

Man, those guys need to be more sneaky about their approach or something. Its no wonder we cant find any nudes of her on the net!

there's a grea tmovie i forget what it's caleld, called paparazzi (not the movie that came out last yera). follows the real life adventure of a paparazzi. real enlightening and shows you their world from _their_ eyes. totally honest and brutal look at the profession. Not a job for everyone.

There was a time when pap's _tried_ to work with celebs and forge a mutually beneficial relationship. Where the celebs would pretty much give pap's the shots they wanted. Even going so far as to make it "seem" like they were unscripted, unannounced shots of them in unusual situations.
The bosses (the newspapers, tabloids, etc.) took a shit. They threatened to fire any pap who worked on a "scripted" system. Their fear was that readers would all get the message that that pic of "Jennifer coming out of the supermarket" was nothing more than Jennifer calling the paparazzi, and telling him to stand there while she walked down with a cart. The tabloids validity, coolness and shock value would sink if it was just another photo magazine like people or US.
Therefore -- that system failed to get off the ground, and it was back to stalking and annoying. Blame he who pays the piper.
