Last night they did a special on a Bob sledder that tested positive for nandralone. He denied and said that he thinks the false reading reading was from musletech protein powder.

Right away I am thinking he is bull shiting....so Fox buys 4 buckets of the muscletech protein powder from 2 different stores and sends them to two different labs.

The results......THEY TESTED POSITIVE FOR TRACE AMOUNTS OF NANDRALONE METABOLITES!!!

What the F%$#...

I remember when Phosphogain came out - massive results. Rumor that there was methyl-test in it.

Same with Hot Stuff and the Original Metrx - Clenbuterol.

This happened, evidently, to Jim Miller of the Chicago Bears a few years ago, too. Never did publicly release what the banned substance was, but he claimed it was from protein. He got suspended for the season.

I have a theory on this. I call it the "I didn't realise my supplement had a *** in it" defence. Linford Christie (100m UK star) used this defence (at least twice - once for ephedrine and once for nandrolone) and so have many other athletes.

For example, you use deca - and being a professional athlete with sponsors you fully realise that deca is a very detectable bad choice drug. You use it right up to the day of competition. You get caught. You claim that you didn't know where the nandrolone came from and later you reveal that you took a natural supplement that may have been contaminated with - or did indeed contain/produce nandrolone (nor-androstnediene for example). Linford also got caught using ephedrine - he then pleaded the "it must have been my cold medicine" defence. Yeah right..

I have a hard time believing that these professional athletes are not info'd up on perforrmance drugs.

In short, I believe they are taking nandrolone, knowing full well that they can claim ignorance and be found innocent by using a 'my supplement must have contained it..' defence.
