The New Guy and His Deal......

Hey whats up guys? I'm new and have signed up on elitefitness.com, anabolex.com and theanabolicworld.com. Thought I'd introduce myself and tell you my deal. I'm 17, signed up for these purticular boards because I thought of them as the most helpfull and they seem to have a good amount of people who know there shit. I'm about to embark on the long journey of self-improvement (not only physically, but mentally). Let me tell you a little bit about my background. Ever since i was a little tike shittin in my pants I've been active. My entire life I've played sports year round and been somewhat fit. Usually the bigger stronger guy until about 2 years ago. As I said I played sports year round (baseball (pitcher), basketball (forward), football (def. noseguard & off. guard) had the pleasure of breaking a few kids bones while i was at it. Then as I said around 2 years ago there was something terribley wrong with me. I started to have overwhelming back problems. My lower back muscles would start to contract. If anyone knows what I'm talking about its probably one of the most excrutiating pains I've ever felt. So I go see a doctor, and they tell me to get an MRI so I do. Which I have to admit was kinda fun sliding in that small ass tube on some mechanical table. Only for the doctor to tell me I have 2 stress fractures in my spine (L5 to be exact). Doc said I cant play shit until I get better because of the chance that they continue to fracture making a full line across my back. No sports he said, which had been my life up until then, you can imagine my response :doublefi: anyway, they stuck me in a cast that went around my upperbody, they tried to put me in one of those full body deals, but i wouldnt let them. I dont know about you, but i couldnt deal with that bullshit. So in between those two years I've been sitting on my lazy ass gaining weight. Been diagnosed as clinically depressed by god knows how many doctors and now I'm ready to get up and do something about my shitty situation. So hence the joining the boards. I'm going to wait on the gear for a little bit, but I'm pretty much done growing so it won't be that long. Right now I'm gonna start up the CKD and excersize. Doc says the best way to heal myself is build up my back and abs so i figure why not take the time to build up the rest of me. ANyways, thanx everyone for listening to me ramble and I hope to get help and give help if ever needed. To a long and beneficial friendship.

Sincerely the Newbie,
James

If you take gear now you are completely stupid. At 17 you are NOT done growing. Your bones will be prematurely sealed and this could effect the healing of your spinal stress fractures and give you permanent back trouble for the rest of your life. As hard as it may seem, take your docs advice, wear a full cast if he says so and heal properly. You are only young, use this time to study all you can about nutrition, gear, training etc. then when you are healed and a bit older you can start a training programme.

by not that long i meant about 2 years, i thought 19 was a young age...... dont appreciate the stupid remark, but were all entitled to our opinions

james,

i empathize w/ your situation and can adress the fact that you seem very mature for your age;i am assuming you had alot of growing up to do,while you were sitting on your ass and getting depressed.for now, research as much as you can and start heading towards a road of self imrpovement...in all areas!you have the right idea by studying the boards...slowly but surely, you'll be way ahead of all of those who chose to rush into things.good luck w/ all future endeavors and welcome to the board.:fro:

ps:strengthmonster, you should have noticed by his post, that he is not some 17 yr old looking for a quick fix...can the attitude...we were all young once!

Can the attitude?
What attitude? I said stupid to take gear during a bone injury, did I not? As well as offering the lad some sound advice. Yes I too was 17 and knew all about gear, already having 2 years natural under my belt but I was sensible enough to do my research and wait a further 4 years until I was 21 and really ready.

I agree with strenghtmonster on this one.

He said "If you take gear *now* you are completely stupid." The key phrase being "take gear now".

His statement was firm, but the advise is sound.

James sounds smart and ,though he belongs to three anabolic boards, I hope he has the patience to wait a few years. With a messed up back at 17, there's no need to compound problems on top of that.

Respectfully,

You're absolutely correct, there are a lot of knowledgable bros on this board. Using gear at 17 should defiantely not be an option. But, if you simply use the training and dieting techniques provided by people on this board, you will go far to enhancing your natural physique. Then at that point, you will have a pure solid foundation on which to build on. If you choose to use gear then, you will be much more happy with the results.

Using gear early will only cause problems and limit your overall potential. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders, hell, you chose the Elite board, so make the right decision.

We are all here to help.!

James,
your going to juice regardless of what you read here, aren't you?
So what in the fuck is the point of arguing with people over comments your not going to listen to anyway.
