I checked it out before I bought my current phone. it's pretty skimpy on features.
Plus if you're going to get a somewhat big phone, I spend the extra $ and get http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...t&action=viewPhoneDetail&selectedPhoneId=2200

Best phone I've ever had, well worth the money and you really can do everything with it.

Get this http://www.pqdvd.com/watch_dvd_on_pocket_pc.html plus this http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about and you are golden.

Throw in this http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/pocketnester.shtml and you can really piss your day away.

I have an LG phone...love it. I've been thinking about moving up to that model later this summer.

I've been thru Samsungs, Motorola's, and some shit ass Nokia. I'll never switch after having my LG for the last year.

Yeah, I've had 2 and liked em both.

Have you interacted with The V yet?

I've spoken with 3 people that own the "V" ... no complaints besides battery life with all the damn things you can do with it.

... there's even an option to play music instead of ringning on the person that calls into your phone.

The only "thing" i'd check up on is the service provider and how many towers are in my area, ect.... if one is switching providers to get the "V."

Small ass buttons on the outside though... so if u've got huge hands, sausage fingers, or long feckin' nails...beware.

My friend has it and loves it. I played with it and its a great little toy.

LG's are the shit. I've had 3 already and plan on getting another, the 8300 when it's released in the next few weeks.

how does it compare to the treo series?

and is it compatible with cingular?

I bought an LG V in Oct of last year. I debated going w/ the Treos, etc but I really wanted something smaller. They finallly came out w/ a good clip on holster thingy for it which I love. I switched from Cingular to Verizon because Cingular kept dumpiing calls all over Atlanta, which is interesting because the Cingular HQ is here. I have no problems w/ Verizon w/ all the hills & stuff here.

You're right about the keyboard - it is small but again, given the size of the phone... I end up using my nails to type as opposed to fingers. Probably the one stupid thing is that I can't forward my AIM to it, at least as far as I can figure out. The camera is fantastic and the speakers are really good if you have the unit open. I use the email occassionally.

My bluetooth unit got messed up around the time I switched phones so I haven't been able to try that. I basically use it as a phone and nothing else.

I'm waiting for the point where the Treos of the world are a little bit better and maybe smaller... Otherwise, I would recommend this phone to anyone.
