Press Release on Newsalert.com:

EAS, a US-based maker of supplements, said it was filing a lawsuit against Cytodyne Technologies, another US-based supplement maker, alleging that the company used false advertising to sell its weight loss supplements. EAS is alleging that the weight loss in before and after photographs in Cytodyne ads was not the direct result of taking Cytodyne products, but was instead the result of participating in its "Body For Life" challenge. EAS also alleged that Cytodyne's claims to have the first protein bar to contain CLA are false because EAS' product was launched five years earlier.

They aren't lying. The pictures used in the cytodyne add were the same ones sent into the body for life contest.

No doubt!

I heard the tall skinny guy that Cytodyne uses in ads actually was one of the BFL winners last year.

But I wish someone would say something about the poor quality and effectiveness of the more recently introduced EAS line.

Ya it seems a lot of the newer EAS products are based on bs research. Like Insuload and Ecdy-whatever drink and MuscleDrive. I think their BFL program is great though. It gave me the foundation I needed to start my current program.

UPDATE

EAS, Cytodyne Back in Court Over Product Claims

GOLDEN, Colo.--EAS announced it filed a lawsuit against Cytodyne
Technologies Inc., based in Manasquan, N.J., alleging that Cytodyne is making false and misleading advertising claims for several of its products. In the suit, EAS claims Cytodyne improperly used "before and after" photographs from participants in EAS' Body-for-Life Challenge to advertise and promote Cytodyne's Xenadrine products. EAS also challenged Cytodyne's
claims that its Xenadrine protein bar is the "first and only" protein bar with conjugated linoleic acid (CLA); EAS said it added CLA to its Myoplex Deluxe bar in 1997, almost five years prior to Cytodyne's formulation.

The companies were most recently in court in mid-October, when Cytodyne had sued EAS over advertising claims. At that point, a U.S. District Court judge for the District of New Jersey issued a preliminary injunction against EAS barring the company from making continued "false, misleading and deceptive
advertising and product comparison claims" for its BetaLean products. "We were disappointed with the court's preliminary ruling; however, we believe that we have complied with the court's order," said Jim Heidenreich, vice president of marketing for EAS (www.eas.com). He added that the company is
continuing its efforts to reverse the injunction.

Shane Freedman, general counsel to Cytodyne(www.cytodyne.com), responded to INSIDER's query about EAS' allegations. "Cytodyne is confident that the court will swiftly dismiss the frivolous claims alleged by EAS," Freedman
said. "This is nothing more than an attempt at retaliation by EAS after the court agreed with Cytodyne and enjoined EAS from making false advertising claims."

maybe the dude who won the body for life contest
used Cytodyne Technologies products??
it doesnt matter. i would guess most people in those
pictures in the magazines with the before and after
pictures, are all on roids. And if not, they used other
products that had alot to do with it.
