The Good Shepard.........

This movie is very interesting for those who are intrigued by the history and mission of the CIA. It is clearly based (loosely) on a true story. Like any CIA story, much of the truth could not be divulged.....(until 2028 or so).

It had very little action and a great deal of dialogue. Many peole would have little idea what was going on. It would seem disjointed to those with no knowledge of the early history of the CIA.

It seemed more interested in showing off how much someone knewabout the CIA's early history. Yet could only tease the audience due to the need to keep most of the information under wraps.

It was a bit like a 2.4 hour History channel special produced on a higher level and with Angelina Jolee thrown in to keep the men captivated.

The acting was good but playing a serious CIA manager doesn't call for much in the way of creativity. Lots of big name actors with minor roles. William Hurt played a significant role and shown...as usual. I think his acting is brilliant.

The movie probably needed to be 5 hours and followed up with a pill that made the audience forget all the secret stuff they had learned.

Yea....I know, my reviews kind of suck.

Thanks for the review, I plan on seeing it tommorrow..

I saw it and liked it too...needed some bare boobs but it was good.

I found it dull as shit.

And the dude that played the son in the latter years had that fucked up lip thing going on.

I never understood why they felt the need to cast prominent stars like Damon and Jolie in those roles as they were completely wasted.
