The data button on the access line is always blinking

What for. I run spywaredoctor, noadware, spybot and macafee. It still blinks unless I unplug the thing. Is my puter being spied on? A techy told me the dATA button should only blink when the computer is on. What yall think?

What are you talking about, the little green data LED on your network adapter?

Your router will send DHCP queries occasionally to see who is on its subnet.
