The Crime Scene...................

If anybody missed my other thread about the shooting (possible suicide) that took place a few doors down from me yesterday morning...........this is an update.

The cops processed the scene until the late hours last night. The body didn't get removed until about 10 pm last night.

I received an emergency phone call last night from the funeral home about possibly my company cleaning up the crime scene. Since I hadn't received much information about what exactly happened, I decided this would give me a chance to find out firsthand what happened.

I agreed to have my people there as soon as the police released the house for cleanup. About 1:30 pm today my phone rang and they were ready for us.

After gathering all of the necessary equipment and employees, I met my employees down there and we entered the house. We entered the bedroom and what I saw kind of startled me.

I saw three bullet holes and a drying puddle of blood about the size of an oversized beachball and was about half an inch thick in the middle. There was brain matter on the ceiling, walls, floor, bedspread, hardwood floor, a chair and an exercise bike and there were several chunks of skull in one of the corners of the bedroom. There was also strands of hair and chunks of hair on the ceiling, walls and door. A very gruesome scene for anyone easily nauseated.

The thing I couldn't understand is the location of the bullet holes and how this could be a suicide. Needless to say, I am more confused now than before I ever went in that house. I did participate in removing all of the weapons from the house which amounted to about 30-35 shotguns and high-powered rifles and about half a dozen pistols.

I was told a .45 caliber pistol was used in her death and I will say that a large chunk of her head was destroyed in that shot. Damn.................what a mess it was!

could have been "test shots" or she chickened out and moved her head or the weapon the first 2 times, although after something like that going off right by your head, you'd have to be pretty determined to try again.

saw an epsidoe of Insomniac with (Dave Attwel?) where he rode around with a guy whose company did crime scene clean ups, pretty gruesome.

Definitely doesn't sound kosher to me. Why would you shoot test shots if you didn't want anyone to know? Too much risk in hearing it. Plus, why would you shoot 3 shots in teh first place? A .45 doesn't leave much doubt that the job is going to get done.

You know, I thought about that.

All of the shots appear to have been fired from the rear of the bedroom. One went through a front window. One went into the wall about 4 feet to the right of that window. The other went into the ceiling but at an angle towards the front of the bedroom above where she was found.

It looked as though a large part of her head was blown away and her hair was stuck on the ceiling around the bullet hole.

I do own a cleaning company that works in nearly all fields of industry. This includes industrial, commercial and home. We do office cleaning, equipment cleaning, carpet cleaning, tile cleaning, pressure washing, water damage (flood) restorations, fire and smoke damage, and some crime scene clean-up. I have been doing going on 23 years. A lot of employees and a even more headaches.

Thiss morning I was watching the news and it said that the coroner has ruled this a suicide.

Three shots is not uncommon. Suicides are often complicated by multi shots. Simply stated - the person is testing the water. They want to commit suicide... but they don't know where to aim... or the shot is not fatal.

A good friend of mine blew a hole in his chest with a 44. He was trying to shoot his heart but missed. He had to pick up the gun and shoot again. Then, when police saw two chest wounds in the middle of the chest - they figured it had to be a homicide. (His mom still believes he was murdered and the police covered it up.)

The common phrase used to would be suicides is, "Don't screw it up." Many people get disabling wounds, paralysis, and brain injuries because they don't shoot themselves correctly.

There is a very famous documentary about a kid who blew his face off... then lived for two years with no face. He tried to commit suicide and blamed it on heavy metal music.

While I can see what you are talking about, there are several more curcumstances that are too complicated to bring up because of trying to explain them. This whole situation smells rotten.

The family is very prominent statewide. They have tons of connections and have a tendancy to be slippery when it comes to the law.

The scene does not look right to me. Something is amiss because the pieces to the puzzles don't seem to fit. What bothers me even more is that the coroner has ruled it a suicide and I have a feeling something monetary was given in exchange for that ruling.

I also have a feeling the woman's family is going to raise the roof over the apparent ineptness of the whole situation. We shall see as time passes.

So the best way to commit suicide would be to do something along the lines of swallowing an entire bottle of sleeping pills on the edge of a 500'+ cliff, stand right at the edge with your back to the chasm, and then shoot yourself in the chest or head with a 12 gauge shotgun. That would get the fuckin' job done, I guarantee.
