The Conjuring: Saving the horror genre?

It happens to be based on a true story of a case from Lorraine and Ed Warren. They're an old couple who are long time paranormal investigators and demonologists. I'm waiting to go see it with my guy when he comes up to visit next weekend.

Previews look great.

I just watched the remake of Evil Dead. Had some tension moments in there. But then moments when it was over kill with the blood.

I saw Evil Dead the other day. It was meh. The reason why people give respect to the original is because...it was the original. 30 years makes a difference.

If this remake hadn't been done, we would have lost nothing.

The Conjuring, however, I am looking forward to.

I stayed in and watched Spring Breakers last night. Avoid it at all cost's. Seriously one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

WTF, 42 comes out on PPV and you choose "Spring Breakers"?

I bought a blu-ray of it when it came out while shopping at Target. My daughter watched it and warned me it was bad, but I never imagined just how bad it could be. The shitty part is that I have a still shrink-wrapped copy of Evil Dead on Blu-ray sitting next to the player that I could have watched instead.

There were two. Pretty sure one was a 1911. The other was a small sig, I think. And that was still better than the twenty minutes Franco spent spewing out "look at my shit", while showing the girls his stuff.

I got goosebumps when I watched a trailer the other day. I'm just hoping they didn't show all of the good shit in said trailer.
