The Best there Is, the Best there Was and the Best there ever will be.

Shut my mouth? Easy there hot rod. It's a TV show.

Bret Hart insisted that he "retire" from wrestling as the WWF champ, which is unheard of. Being a "class act" means that if you leave (especially to a competing organization), you turn over the belt. Oh, but not Bret Hart. He's above all that. He had to leave as the champ. Well fuck that. No one is above that kind of tradition. It was his arrogance that got him "screwed." He had it coming.

Hey, I never meant to insult you. Bret Hat had reasonable control on his departure. Vince agreed with him he could leave Montreal with his head up and his title! End of the story. Vince screwed Bret. The guy worked his ass during 14 for Vince Mcmahon and only missed two shows. He never said no to him and was a model employe. Vince and Bret were friends. Vince is the one who asked Bret to leave because he didn't want to pay him anymore. Bret Hart is a class act.

I don't argue the screw job. But the only reason it was necessary was because Hart would not perform in the WM main event without Vince's assurance that he'd win, even though he was retiring. That is simply not done. I don't care who you are. Hart was a great wrestler, but no one is above the sport. Vince had to lie to him to get him to do his job. Class acts pass the torch, without question. If you're too consumed with yourself to do that, then you deal with the consequences. I'd have done the same thing in McMahon's position.

brett heart in the wwf = more talking. so now we'll have like a total of 30 minutes of actual wrestling and an hour and a half of idiots talking.

Talking is the BEST part about wrestling. The drama behind the ring is what makes it so damn entertaining.

All I got to say is that Shane Mcmahon is a fat bastard, but he is ONE CRAZY FAT BASTARD.

Tomalays no offense man but did bret Hart have to put a restraining order against you yet?

C'mon first its wrestling, second its tv not real life and third it happened almost 5 years ago and bret made alot of money of WCW and WWF. If he hates it all so much he should give al the millions he made in WCW to charity.

This is not about money. Bret Hart stood for his values and it hurt him to be betrayed by a friend in front of millions of people in his own country, with his own submission move. The Hart familly falled appart after the survivor series showdown in Montreal. Bret said it hurt him to see his mother die without seeing the light of the end to their story. Bret has familly problems, he went through a divorce and he is not happy! Not happy! In his own words: I (Bret) am not fine. I don't care how rich he is but the guy deserved better for what he gave to wrestling. You can trust Bret he would have forfeit the title the next night on Raw. What you need to understand is those guys are humans. Humans are not perfect. You'd better read his column; I posted the link. He says he's ready to settle things with Mcmahon.
