Whaddup y'all... I was wondering if anyone ever noticed any sort of rebound effect from Clen (yes, I have read the FAQ and done searches). You see, I know this chick who did T3 for what I judged to be a much longer time than she should. Months later, she has gained everything back and a bunch more. She has kept up with her diet and workout routine, so the only explanation I can see is that she remained on the T3 for too long and her natural level have been supressed and have remained that way therefater. She is going to a doctor to undergo testing per my advice... My question, for those of you in the know about Clenbuterol's chemical action, is there any reason something like this can be expected from a light clen cycle? I mean, is there something that is supressed, with the possibility of not coming back immediately, that might cause a rebound effect of sorts and cause one to gain the weight back. I mean, I understand that when on Clen you are in a hyper-metabolic state and that if you stop working out and start eating bad after you are on it, you will of course return to your prior state. I guess the bottom line here is, Do you know of any reason why a person who does a light cycle of Clenbuterol would have a problem keeping the cut afterwards, assuming that they remained disciplined afterwards? Thanks!
 
Okay, in my FAQ, I did not mention that you should use taurine with Clenbuterol. Apparently, Clen depletes Taurine stores in the liver and this causes a slow down of T4 converting to T3(active Thyroid hormone) among other things such as cramps. This is what causes a minor "crash" on clen(For me it was a 1-2 fat gain)

I wasn't really convinced and it didn't make much sense to me so I overlooked it. However, I used Taurine at 3-4g a day with my last two weeks on clen and I did not experience the minor crash like I had previously. So Taurine is a must with CLEN!!!

As for T3, this is a very tricky drug. I don't know what she did, but I always recomend coming off slowly, That means 12.5mg for 5-7 days, and 6.25mcg for 5-7 days. This may extend the length of the cycle but it is necessary.

Thyroid production will be completely shutdown right after a T3 cycle, and for may take up to 6 weeks to return to normal. The average is 4 weeks. So for at least 4 weeks, assuming she cycled it correctly she should have been sticking to her diet and possibly dropping calories slightly after an initial 3 day carb up following the end of the course.
 
Beta-2 agonists have been shown to temporarily downregulate the number of receptors. This is the rationale for limiting the length of clen usage. I'm wondering if the diminished number of beta receptors might be responsible for the rebound in weight.
 
My experience with clen is as follows. I seemed to get cramps at night while sleeping, from not drinking enough water. Obviously it's hard to sleep and drink at the same time. As far as the taurine goes, I've heard that, and I have also heard that it depletes potassium. So eat a lot of bananas.
 
bigandy, i've heard of strength increases on clen due to the body more efficiently using my protein intake so 1) will i be able to keep these strength gains after the two weeks of clen? 2)i will be rotating with an NYC or ECA for two weeks, so how long can this rotated cycle go on (eg. 4 two week periods of each for a total of two months)? and lastly 3) will it be possible for me to still weigh 200lbs (my current weight) after the clen but with a different body compositon?

If for every pound of fat you lose you can add one pound of muscle then yes, its possible.

if you are 200 lbs at say 20% bf and you run Clen and ECA for 2 months chances are you will drop 6 % in bf (give or take) so that would be 12 pounds. You will not be able to lower BF% by 12 pounds of fat while putting on 12 pounds of muscle.

But you can try.

As for potasium, its definetly needed, but I would opt for a pill as opposed to bannanas every day.
 
sorry i didn't clarify, i'm probably about 10%bf, i think i need to only lose 5 or6 lbs of fat.

Well, yes you keep all the gains on clen. You lose muscle hardness and the intensity in the gym is not the same.

Clen does have nutrient partionning effects but it increase your strength maily through CNS stimulation not it's Anti-catabolic.

It also makes it easier to recover so if your smart you could train a bodypart twice a week on clen and you can gain a significant amount of LBM in the 2 week period.(3lbs is very possible for a first timer)

If you plan on doing this I would recommend 2 weeks on, 3 weeks off and then 2 weeks on.

Your first clen cycle you can actually have steroid like gains for the first 10 days or so. Unfortunately, your body adapts very quickly to clen so/
 
What do u mean "intensity not the same"? I train like a fuckin pittbull when I'm on clen!
 
Guys - there is NO WAY clen will do anything like juice for muscle gains, even only for the first week as BigAndy stated. Clen is basically a more specific version of ephedrine. Thats it! But this is a good thing - you don't get the non-specific adrenergic activation on inappropriate target tissues such as cardiac muscle. This is why you typically don't get the jitters like you do on ephedrine. You will not gain any muscle from clenbuterol. Yea, you will lose fat but I personally wouldn't recommend it. I noticed a strong rebound effect in both energy levels and fat deposition following a clen cycle.

Lol. I think your wrong. I initially took it because I was getting too fat from bulking. I was too lazy to start a diet, and my friend had given me 2 bottles of spiropent, so I figured what the hell.

I ate 2800 calories a day and didn't do cardio. At the end of the first 2 weeks, I had gained 3lbs of LBM, and my strength went up like crazy. I also dropped a few lbs of Bodyfat. The muscle cramps were severe because of all the food I was eating.


Second cycle, I decided to drop bodyfat, so I did cardio EOD and ate 2300-2500 calories, I also trained my arms hard 5 times in the 2 week period. I gained half an inch on my arms and kept it.

3rd cycle(5 months after my 2nd), didn't do much for LBM increase.

Da big thinker on this board, gained 1/4 of an inch on his arms his two first weeks of clen. He was eating 1800 calories.
 
Hey Bigandy, How did u cycle and how many mcg's were u takin a day? I've done a few cycles in the past usually at 80 to 120 mcg's a day. Very intense workouts, but didn't notice too much in body composition.

You know, I've been thinking about this quite a bit. Btw, I'm not the only one who responds this well to clen, talk to da big thinker on this board.

Number one, both of us are good lifters, we've always been good bbers even before roids.

Also I think the main difference is in how we used clen. I started very slowly 1 tab the first day, 2 tabs the second, 3 tabs the third, 4 the 5-7 day.

Basically, I never felt bad sides on Clen, I felt amazing whereas some people feel like total shit. This feeling translated into my workouts and the weights and reps started going up. I realised that I was getting bigger and recovering faster, so I started training everything twice a week, and it just got better.

Also, I took all my doses of clen at least 2-3 hours before my workout, so it wouldn't interfere with my breathing.

I can sleep only for 4 hours a night and wake up as if I've sleep for 8 on clen. Morning cardio is a breeze

I've had a few people ask me to hook them up with sources for taurine.

Taurine is a legal supplement that can be bought at GNC or any other Supplement store.

The 2 brands I've seen are Ultimate Nutrition brands which is expensive but comes in capsules. 150 1g capsules. An the Prolab one which is cheaper but comes in a 300g bottle.
