For starters I'll say that measuring Testosterone levels (both free and total) is an important part of any hormone therapy. For example when a man is low on testosterone a doctor may recommend he increase the level in the body by either increasing the patient's natural production with a drug such as HCG or supplementing the body's production with a synthetic version of Testosterone. In other cases, where certain cancers are present, a doctor may recommend the patient lower his total testosterone level.

So as a brief closing, it is sometime important to test Testosterone levels.
