Testosterone Cypionate

I need a little help. I am 56 years old and I've been working out off and on for the past thirty years. I'm 6'2 245lbs and about a month ago I started training with a buddy who is a power lifter. I started dead lifting at 250 lbs and maxed out at 325. I started feeling tired and unmotivated even after taking pre workout. So I went to a Urologist and he checked my test level and it was 255. The doctor prescribed me 200mg a week of Testosterone Cypionate. It's only been two weeks since my first shot and I still feel drained, and I feel like I'm spent and I have to push myself during my workout. Any help I'd appreciate it. Thanks Dave

brother there is more to life than where your test levels are

you feel drained and it could be for a lot of reasons

1. you could simply be out of shape
2. you could have heart problems
3. your diet is not good enough
4. you aren't sleeping enough
5. nagging wife/kids causing depression
6. stress at work

we all want the easy solution.. i would try and clean up your diet, limit stress, and exercise daily 1-2 hours. good things will happen

The half life of testosterone cypionate is 7 days. It'll take 3-4 weeks for the drug to build up in your system and for you to notice anything.

Give it a few more weeks. You will start to feel an increase in energy, libido, sex drive etc. in a week or two.

Remember that your energy levels are linked to a lot more then just your hormone levels. What does your diet look like? How much water do you drink each day?

Check out this article I wrote that gives some really simple tips for creating a meal plan for someone who is getting back into the gym after a lay off -> https://www.needtobuildmuscle.com/bodybuilding-blog/2015/02/24/getting-back-gym-lay/

The test will take around 4 weeks to peak in your blood so give it time

You should also look at things like:
-sleep
-diet
-hydration
-stress levels
-recover after training / overtraining
-caffeine intake
-alcohol consumption

It will take a little bit of more time until the testosterone reaches peak levels.

The sluggish feeling could also be due to other above mentioned reasons.

Just give it a bit more patience.
