testosterone and high white blood cell count

My friend is on a 500mg test cycle and somehow got an infection that made him very sick. He went to the hospital and they told him that his white blood cell count is through the roof! I would have thought they would have mentioned his red blood cell count being through the roof. I know test and other aas crank your imune system. Do you think that his white blood cell count is super high from the test helping his body to fight the infection? Or would this not be relative to the situation?

I dont know the count but he said the doc said it was realy high even for his state of condition. you dont think the testosterone could aid in this by jumping his immune system?

I highly doubt the gear has anything to do with the white blood cell count being off. I just got blood work done yesterday cause of a nasty virus I got from somewhere. Mine checked out fine and I just got put on some meds for my nauseau. Just like nitro said its the virus messing with his white blood cells. Viruses are hell on them. Make sure he doesnt get dehydrated thats the biggest thing with any virus or flu!

Most AAS are supposed to suppress immune response. The only one I've cam across that increases white and red blood cells is Anadrol. I know I read it from something fairly legit, so I believe it. If you think about it, it was made originally for wasting deseases, correct?

So....did he take any drol?

If not, I'd say it's jus the body's response.

OK: I did not see anything linking Anadrol DIRECTLY to increases in white blood cell counts, however, I may have picked this up because of the fact that estrogens stimulate the immune system and the types of estrogens formed from orals are strong and not like estrodial from testosterone broken down by the aromatase enzyme. That's also why you will hear from some that Anti-Estrogens (not AI's) may not do a great job of protecting you from gyno if orals are a large component of your cycle.

I admit that some of this thinking may have changed since I originally picked it up...so if someone sees a blatant mistake, I would appreciate the information as well.
