How do you go about getting your stuff tested for purity or to know if it's counterfit or not??

I had something tested awhile back. I pretended to be a concerned parent checking to see if my son's pills that I found in a bottle marked "Halotestin" were something harmful like steroids. You have to give them a chemical structure to look for. You can't just ask if they're steroids.
This is what I did, I'm not saying this is needed.
