Test vs. Test & 5AR Inhibitor

What's the difference between test alone and test with Finasteride or Dutasteride?
(From those that have tried them both)
That is,

test and dht via 5AR

-vs-

test and no or reduced dht via 5AR inhibition (finas or dutas)

I've always relied on topical 5AR inhibition (via azelaic acid or spironolactone) rather than systemic 5AR inhibition (finasteride or dutasteride).

I'm assuming there must be a HUGE difference of test without systemic conversion to DHT (a much more potent androgen).

What is that difference in terms of real world experience (empirical evidence)?

i've run cycles both ways, but it's been awhile since i didnt use a 5AR inhibitor with my test cycles.

most notable thing is the lack of the normal off-the-charts libido. it is elevated, but not ridiculous as with straight test. also, increased aggression is virtually nonexistent. acne is also lessened, IME.

i typically use EQ and/or anavar and/or anadrol to impart vascularity and hardness, so i cant say i really miss those elements in my cycles...if you ran a cycle without them, you might find those aspects to be lacking. also, i'd say an AI or SERM is required with a 5AR inhibitor - you can be a little too wet without one.

all in all, i do fine with test + dutasteride cycles to avoid hairloss. i expected alot less results but havent seen that....shit, last cycle i went from 260 to 281 with just test/EQ/tbol and .5mg dutas ED
