telling Doc about AS usage

I was at the doc today to get some blood work ordered. At one point he asked me if I take any caffeine, so I told him about my ephie/caffeine usage and he went off on me on how bad that's for me!! WOAH, so I asked to get my test levels checked also and he said there's no need "unless you've been taking in exogenous testosterone". I think he realized I am/was using, and he tried to get me to tell. Thing is, I wanted to tell him, but not after the ephedrine-will-kill-you talk he gave me. What a joke..

QUESTION : If you admit to AS usage to a doc (in Canada), does it go on The Record? Can anyone recommend a good, AS friendly doctor in the lower mainland area (that's in BC, Canada).

I don't know about Canada, but in the U.S.ofA. you got doc/patient privelage. If it's worth it to you, you could always cross the border.

And if you develop GYNO from AS and you tell him that you use AS.. Your insurance might not cover your operation cause your doc can rat you out..

so youll need to punch him in the eye again..

Yeah man, no matter what .. Make sure your doctor knows your on gear. You never know if you have a "Bad Experience" sometime (ie. accident stickin') and need his help. Everyone of my gym buddies on gear alway's let good ol' doc. know when the are..

I think your doc can tell your insurance company, and they can drop you or up your premiums. I think its the same with steroids as it is with other recreational drugs.

Absolutely they can tell your insurance company. How else do you think your insurance company comes up with your premiums?

And guess what, if you tell your doc you do a.s. and these are not prescribed, i.e. you are abusing them, then every physical problem you have from then on can be considered to be caused by your 'recreational drug use', and may or may not be covered. This is at the discretion of the insurance company.

Oh yeah, the truth shall set you free. If you want a test for your test, tell the doc to fucking shut up and order one. If he balks, tell him you feel really crappy, have no sex drive, etc., and you think your test levels are low, then give him a piece of paper where you have written down all the tests you want done. If he asks why these particular tests, don't tell him you read it on a gear board. Tell him you have a friend who is in med school or some shit, and he said you needed these done. Fuck him, he works for you. And tell him to can the ignorant lectures.

Btw, I actually talk like this to doctors. As soon as they stop listening to me, they lose all of my respect. At that point in time, they are the equivalent of the piss boy to me, and they get treated as such.

Hehe...you and me both,brother.You need to shop around for a doc that is non-judgemental.Also,maybe consider a nurse practitoner for your medical needs(not that I am partial)..they tend to hve less of a "God" complex,and try to be a little more holistic in their approaches.
