Tell me why

I only consume protein, a little fat, and a minimal amount of carbs from cottage cheese post workout and at my last meal before bed. Tell me why I'm wrong!

you are ripped in your avatar, but it doesn't mean that you are giving your body the optimal support for growth. I don't know what your daily caloric intake is, but if it's less than what you are burning then of course you are going to be ripped.
IMO, you still need enough carbs and fats to achieve and maintain optimal growth.

BTW, that's just my opinion. What you are doing obviously is working for you, it just doesn't work for me.

who said you where wrong? different things work for different peeps

Depends on your goals.... If you are trying to maintain and maybe even lean out a bit i would say you are on the right track. That diet personally would not allow me to gain muscle.

I thought you said that was Lee Priest in your avatar?

As for the food, well I'd guess it's right on for cutting and maintaining low BF%, but it won't do anything for bulking purposes.

I like limiting my calories after lifting and before bed also. How much protein are you taking in before you sleep?

It's not "wrong" but IMO a good 75g of dex should be taken post workout to replenish your spent glycogen fuel. If you don't...then it's not a bad thing. You just aren't going to get much stronger I think. I've done the no carbs past 7pm deal and really could not tell a difference if I took a shake w/dex or only whey. Mass=Carbs, Cut=0-little carbs...maybe try somewhere in between. And if that IS you in your avatar, you're obviously in good condition. Maybe it's time to bulk up and put on some more lbs. and BTW you'll have to part with the sixer for awhile

i take in most protein before i got to bed because i have acid reflux and its the only time i can eat eggs and drink shakes. If i eat eggs or drink shakes in the morning all day long my throat feels like shit thats why i do it before bed is this bad?

i believe it for sure

I definitely believe it does that. I also believe it bulks you up very nicely as long as you don't flip over the fat gain that comes with it.

SO, fot those of you who train later in the evening or afternoon, how does you meal plan look up to bed? How close to bed do you eat or do you fins it doesn't really matter?

It doesn't matter when you workout your body will be very receptive to carbs and protein post workout. When you deplete your glycogen stores your body will soak it up like crazy, your body is very unlikely to store bodyfat in that state. Actually if you don't replenish your liver and muscle glycogen you will be running half-cocked. I train at 7 at night, I definitely don't skimp on the carbs post workout, my meal before bed even has potato in it. It depends a lot on what you are trying to do. To gain mass you need the carby carbs, if you are cutting you can get away with that eating few carbs at night.

Good answer................so you train at 7, done by 8, then what does your plan look like?
I train at 7, done by 8:30'ish, it depends on what bodypart I am working. I have an N-large 2 by Prolab immediately after my workout. My next meal is usually 10-12 ounces of chicken and 2 baked potatoes plain. I also weigh 250 so this obviously affects the amount of food that I eat.

Do you blend your PW shake? I was thinking of trying some myoplex packs that I have left, instead of my reg. gluc./whey mix to shake things up a little..........I bet that would hold me over anyways.............

Yeah, I blend my post workout shake up as soon as I get home. What is your normal post wo shake consist of. The only thing with going to the myoplex shakes is that they only have 24 g's of maltodextrin.
