Unbelievable. Tarver was serious. Just goes to show, no man is unbeatable. Hang around long enough, someone's gonna get you. Jones had a chance to go out as only the second undefeated champion ever. (The DQ doesn't count) I can't wait to see this on replay.

Jones looked strong. He won the first round although there wasn't much action. They were both kinda feelin each other out. Second round...Lot's of waiting each other out and some great counter punching from both sides. Finally, Jones came in with a straight right, connected lightly, Tarver ducked down, came back up and threw a left hook that caught Jones directly across the chin! Jones went down and couldn't get back up.

I admire the guy. He wasn't just talking. He said that he was going to try and knock Jones out every round. That he wasn't going to leave it up the judges. The guy is for real. Wish I could be a champ like that. Think I can train at nearly 40 and pull it off? lol

I am not that surprised. I mean I am surprised Tarver knocked out Jones in the 2nd but Jones has looked pretty lack luster in is last 2 or 3 fights. John Ruiz gave him a good run for his money and John Ruiz is sorry even if he had a belt and that wasn't even the best John Ruiz I've seen in the ring. There was a reason Jones didn't stay in the heavyweights. He knew big good heavyweights would mop the floor with him.

Although he looks to be in great shape RJ is getting up there in age - I think he's about 37 or so maybe time is just catching up to him. Great win for Tarver though I though he got screwed in the decision the first time.

Yep a sad day indeed. The way Jones was talking in the locking room, it sounds like he his heart isn't in it anymore. Hopefully he will return to either fight Tarver again or move back up to heavyweight. Just like Emmanual Steward said, Tarver had his number and what's even worse, he said the same thing about Forrest when he fought Mosely.
