I used the stand up ones in the past and liked it. The lay down ones kinda put stripes on my back. Gonna tan this shaved body and wanna make the right choice.
 
I do the lay down ones but I wanna try a stand up one. I am tall so the sit down ones do not get my feet well :worried:

u liking the shaved look? it's addictive
 
I always go for the platinum beds..cost more but your max time is only 12 mins and I find I get the deepest tan....I do alternate and get in the stand up from time to time. Places here, once you pay for the premium beds you can go into any of them.

I used to tan but I stopped because I was scared I was going to get wrinkley once I got older... I wish there was something I could do because I am sooo white and those lotions don't really work well. Although the Dove one seems to be the best.
 
does a stand up one cost more than a lay down one? are they longer?

I thought about trying one of those but I heard bad things about them.. I don't tan enough in a bed to get the leather skin look

it tans you faster.. they are called max beds here.. supposedly if you go to a max bed for 10 minutes it's like tanning in a regular bed for 20

I think they're better than the actual beds. My dad calls them "cancer booths."

LOL. One other reason I stopped. My grandpa had skin cancer from too much sun and no protection.. so it does happen. :worried:

I'm pretty sure i have some on my forehead. couple dark sploches. too much golfin and no blockin.

I use plat. beds too ; you can always go and get laser therapy for wrinkles too ; and it works pretty good.

I mix between the reg. beds and the plat beds for the best tan. And mix in a little sun exposure and you are good ta go!!

thats not skin cancer but it is sun damage.

You can have it lasered off on your lunchbreak.

My skin tone sucks.. gd'd irish. I gotta tan like shitloads...

I'm greek so I keep it a long time. Shit I still had tan lines on my legs in the winter.

I actually would only go a few times, maybe like 3-4. I just want to even up the farmers tan I get from golf. Be pool ready so me and G can go get our freakk on at the water park.
 
i usally go to Hollywood tans...stand up booth.

i hate going to tan....i feel like such a jh1 walkin in that place.

uggh....this girl at the one place used to try to chat me up alllll the time...she musta smoked 600 packs of cigarettes a day, she sounded like an 80 year old...I had to stop going there. I always get the nasty ones....
 
what are those pills? Melanotan or some shit, you take them and they darken your skin pigment. That's what this white mofo needs.

I've already had a couple biopsy's on moles on my back. Not fun, scars now, too.

It is a shot you inject!!
I had bought some but pretty much let it go to waste....damnit!!! I did the shot and went to tanning bed that first day. (you have to get in sun to activate it first) then you take it everyday for so long and then less time to maintain.
but I got sick and just forgot about it......shit is not cheap either!!

I have never heard of that in my life!!!

From what i know (and thats not much) lol. That could actually protect your skin from the effects of the sun like aging. Hmmmm.

where do you get one?
 
I look kinda weird with a tan...it doesn't go well with my hair. I'll go use the plat beds (I like the one that does one side at a time and you turn over halfway through) a few times at the start of the summer so I don't blind the hell out of people, but otherwise the fair skin thing suits me.
 
I don't tan, I burn. I used to hate it so much but now I don’t fight it. I embrace my snow-whiteness. I don’t want freckles or skin cancer.
 
for some reason the stand ups dont tan me,but the lay downs are great,if I go in for 10 mins three times a week Ill be golden brown in two weeks
 
Stand up or lay down... does not matter either way.

It is all about the bulbs...The higher wattage/VHR, the darker you will get in less time.

Also how long ago did the salon change the bulbs in their beds...If your not getting tan it's always about the bulbs.
 
went yesterday in a stand up one. it was 25$ for 5 times. plus and extra $2 per time to use the stand ups. Went for 9 min and didn't get burnt. I have a pretty good golfers tan and just want to even up my legs arms chest etc... BTW JH1 the chick was a hot lil 19 y.o. who was flirty as hell with me. She better watch that stuff of she is going to have to take this banana. LOL

Thank God I have a boy... I hear ya. I didn't flirt at all. She was making all the moves. looking me right in the eyes and smiling. And when I was leaving she was out with her other friends smoking and she said "oh you can't leave me yet". I just smiled and said see you later.
