Talking to my doctor

My doctor has been in my family for YEARS. He's also generally liberal with "fun" things. I had a sore back a couple of weeks ago - called him and he gave me two months worth of hydrocodone and flexeril - laughed and said "in case it happens again." But he IS a reputable doctor - not a pill store or anything.

Here is my question: I was considering going to him and saying, "I'm going to do this this and this. My first preference is that you give them to me so I know they'll be safe. But in any case, I want you to monitor me and check them for interactions with other medications, etc."

If I do this, can he turn me in? Or do anything besides say "no"? I don't care if he knows for the sake of him knowing, so that's not really a "risk" to me. Has anyone else here done that? Medications and/OR monitoring. I'd feel much better to be supervised - particularly in the beginning.

He will more than likely just give you a spill on how roids are bad for you, No he can not turn you in. There is a patient /doctor confidentiality thing that doesnt allow for that. Yes I get monitored by my doctor through cycles. I get my blood done before and after to see how it affected me. Ask to get your kidney and liver enzymes checked. A total cholesterol check and of course monitor blood pressure throughout. If you tell him what u r doing he will probably know what blood tests to check for I am sure. As for asking him for AAS, now that is another story. Hydrocodeine and other meds can be more readily handed out than AAS. If someone(presiding official) comes to check on his scripts. those pain killers and muscle relaxers are more easily explained than a script for AAS. That would require blood work and proof that you lack the normal amount of Testosterone production or in other cases such as if you were wasting due to aids. So I wouldnt expect him to get you any although ,hey some docs do it. But it is a very good idea in my opinion to have an open relationship with your doctor about anything that you are taking. It will help cut down on a lot of risks and can easily detect problems early. And yes I accept all forms of Karma lol.

This is all of course in reference to AAS. If that is even what you were talking about being monitored for or trying to get.

Oh I'm sorry - yes.

And I hadn't thought about there being objective measurements for the need of these. So you're probably right. But it is good to know I can have him monitor me. Thanks.

So that he doesnt give you any bullshit about how bad steroids are, put a gun to his head. Then start talking. ;)

IF youre really tight with him, ask him, I'll bet he wouldn't have a clue about AAS tho...check it out
