Taking a week off!!!

New member
This taking a week off training (and admitedly, at times...most times, diet) is hard f**kn' work. I have tendonitous in about every tendon in my body so It was due time for a thourough and required rest of the musculo-skeletal system, but damn...I'm bored, feel lazy...you know, like a regular American, and am just unmotivated. Can't wait till Moday when my personal training fees will soar(new job opporitunities) and I will be able to train myself once again. I am feeling better...health/tendon/muscle-wise, but it's a patient process wating even one week just for some slght haling and rest! I couldn't imagine being on the DL for a month or more. I'd be a drunkn' mess.!!! As I hold a crisp, cold Sam Adams Boston Lager in my left paw and type with the right...You know it helps with the tendonitous.!!!! ;)

My week off is scheduled for the last week in July, I think about it every day, I too have tendonitous in every tendon, today i pinched something in my upper back right below my neck, last week I tweeked something in my shoulder, and today I was 30 mins late for work because I couldnt get the hell out of bed.

Yeh, I've tweaked something in my upper-back/neck area while doing shoulders. Sometimes you just have to rest the beast...as much as it sucks!

yep, it was the military press that got me today, came down, in front like always and felt a little pinch in the upper spine, then I went up and it cracked. It feels like one painful kink and its not going away, its been about 10 hrs now. Cant wait for that week off.

I honestly think it takes balls to take a week off of training--- hell I can't do it... it's hard.. But I do occasionally do it, and when I hit back in the gym, i'm feeling much stronger and better than ever before.

I've found that training 3x or even 2x a week is so much better than 4x a week--just my personal opinion--

um if i don't feel like training i don't.....your body is telling you something.

OXANDRIN....That's a mean assed grill in your avatar. Over to your house it is for a rest week cue-out....I'll bring the cattle on a spickett , you supply the potatos.

And yes, A week off is called for every 10-12 weeks in my experience.

I take a week off about every 6th week. My body loves it, and on the 7th week I actually feel stronger and look bigger when I get back to the gym. A little down time is not going to kill you. It can only help if your tendons are hurting that badly.

In the grand scheme of things, a week off is absolutely nothing.

I take a week off every 2 months or so unless i'm doing a cycle.
