T3

Will be starting T3 and I understand that you have to taper down when you are coming off but what are the thoughts when starting? I have read to just start at 50 mcg a day. I will go no higher than 75 mcg for 6-8 weeks. Will be running Test E and Tren Ace. Thanks for the info....

Taper it up and down. Run it a few days at 25 mcg when you come off. Once you come off get some Iodine thyroid supps and run sort of as a "PCT"

My thoughts on starting are dont. You want improved thyroid function not reduced. Give your thyroid the nutrients it needs and boost thyroid function normally.

I will never fuck with T3 either. I've heard too many horror stories.

yea, mine. It sucked as low thyroid affects so many other critical mechanisms including certain brain functions. The thing is, the docs will not give you t-4 while you trying to recover as they want to see what you new baseline is--t-3 has to be the most misunderstood of the things out there--and god forbid you don't do bloodwork before to establish a natty baseline--.

I did everything "the right way" and still it has to be the dumbest thing I ever did.

What did your taper down look like?

don't remember but it was a good taper--and if I recall, the nature of the feedback loop does not need a taper; if the gland is shut off it's off and an 6 or eight week taper will not be of much help but --regardless of how it's done how quickly it recovers is purely individual (hence before and after blood work) and the thyroid is a finicky gland that may show normal levels at 9am and completely different at 3 pm and different again at 10pm--hence it's actions are much more complex than I understand as so many factors dictate how much is produced and converted. too complex = don't f*ck with it as you don't know if you are the one where it gets all screwed up or are normal a few weeks after use.

I've been on it for last 6 weeks but have been slowly tapering down last couple weeks from 50 mcg and now at 14 mcg. Also got the t3 pct supplement from ntbm. So far so good. I've been trying to be careful. Hopefully I have a smooth recovery. Any advice on what you'd do different?

no--not even the best endos have a clue about how to manage thyroid issues. As I said if you come off and do not have the symptoms of hypothyroidism you are one whose body could handle it--but make sure to verify w/bloodwork. Hypothyroidism is serious shit (though like 20% of all people have it--and probably the cause of more depression than anything else)

....

Exactly. Some people handle it some people don't. I've probably run it ten times. Start at 20mcg, take it it up 20mcg every 5 days. End up at 120mch. Some tapering off protocal. Never had a single problem.

IMO bro if your gonna take t3 assuming it's to lose weight. Just do 25mcg split into 2 doses throughout the day, just so you know your metabolism is running at full capacity while dieting. I'm not a expert on it but that's just my 2 cents

Thats because almost everyone not on the ocean is deficient in iodine and like most docs endos dont know shit about nutrition or how important iodine is. The funny thing is most thyroid meds are based on iodine yet if you bring up iodine supplementation they are all snowed (due to poor science on the subject many years ago where bad conclusions where drawn or improper form of iodine was used) that iodine is toxic.
