T3 = No Voice?

Ok im on T3 right now.....along with some other stuff of course but thats not the point. And about 2 and a half weeks ago i got pretty sick with a cold.....and i lost my voice. I went to the dr.'s and she said i had bronchitis and laryngitis. Now im feelin better besides the normal runny nose and stuff but i still CANT TALK after almost 3 weeks.

Is it possible that this could have somethin to do with my thyroid? Maybe causing stress on my vocal cords.

P.S. Im goin to see a throat specialist on thurs so I guess i'll find out, but im def worried!

When you got sick, you stopped running T3 etc... (cycle?) , right?

T3 cannot cause you to lose your voice.

Well i had to slowly stop the T3....you know....like on a normal down slope....

But thanks for the help......I had read that a hoarse voice could be a symptom of thyroid disease and thats what made me wonder.

And I agree....I know it was from gettin sick.....but I was wondering if it could be restrictin me from gettin my voice back as fast as I should have.

Absolutely nothing to do with thyroid.

you have complications from a cold, as simple as that.

I don't know where you live bro, but around here, alot of people with colds are getting laryngitis with it..... Not only that, but the laryngitis seems to be the last symptom to go when the cold is over, that and the persistant cough..... Sounds like youre fine bro, just don't sweat it..... If you still wanna go to that specialist, go ahead, but youre just making him a lil richer IMO.....
