T.V American stylee...

Ok, so my parents live in a big (by UK standards) 5 bed house in Wales and want a nice new flat screen T.V for their cable. Seeing it's me mum's b-day next month, what kinda screen size do you guys have? They'd like something big but would probabily only want me to spend a few hundred quid...what should I be looking at?!

IMO, you need to look at how the picture looks & not just the screen size.....sometimes the picture just doesn't look that good (ie with a projection tv vs. a picture tube) the bigger it goes.....the higher 40" screens look best....
