Syringes?

How often do you guys change your syringes, i know to use a new needle each time but what about syringe barrells? At the moment i sterilise them in boiling solution to kill any bacteria but i dont know how long to keep em before chucking it.

Any suggestions?

you should use a new needle and a new syringe after every injection. u should even change the needle after u extract your gear out of the vial. for all the money your spending on gear spend a little bit more and buy a whole bunch of needles & make sure 22 gauge and 1.5" long & for the quad u can use 25 gauge and 1" long.

Boiling the syringes should sterilize them but they're only plastic. They're not made for multiple injections, the seal between the rubber on the end of the plunger and the sides of the syringe will eventually fail

I have re-used the same syringe once or twice on occassion. Mind you...the same syringe I had used the day before on myself, (only myself)...after sterilizing, but I would "not recommend this practice" at all to anyone. It was darn stupid of me, but I'm just lucky at those few times I did not get an abcess, no matter how pressed I was for getting more pins. The chances of you getting an infection/ and or abcess doing regular injects on your own with a "fresh new syringe" are there already, nevermind upping them with the reuse of a dull syringe having been used already on yourself. We all live and lean, as I consider myself fortunate that I wise'd-up earlier and learned without going the hard way. Take my advice bro, and just buy yourself a crapload of syringes....Do a search.... They are cheap enough, and you will not only have piece of mind, but x-out the risk of it taking a piece out of your ass from a potential abcess. You will thank yourself 10 fold later on.

best of luck.

Oh,...not to mention the cc dose info amount will start to rub off, and screw up your dose, along with all the other more serious things "NYD" said as well...

Is changing after drawing from the vial for sterility reasons or more for the fact penetrating the rubber can dull the needle? I have heard of people using a bigger gauge to speed up the drawing and then switching to a finer gauge for inject as well. Any insight appreciated.

using a large gauge to draw and changing to a smaller pin is done to speed up drawing. some people use the same pin to draw and shoot.. i've done it, but it does dull the needle making the injection a bit more of a sting than it would be otherwise.

Yeah, some substances dont draw too well so the bigger gauge the needle is the better. IIRC systonon can be an ass to draw out cos its so thick.

Cheers for the advice bros. New syringe everytime for me now then!
