Sus Getting Old??

I brought back some sus and other stuff from my last vacation and I had to put it in shampoo bottles to get it back... the bottle is clean! will it age it or weaken it if I keep opening and closing the bottle to draw out and let air get in the bottle??

no...

it will not age. However, a clean shampoo bottle is not typically a STERILE container, so I really hope you didn't just dump your gear into it. You should have used a sterile container, like one for sterile saline for contact lenses....

Well it was a small shampoo bottle and cleaned all the shampoo out and then washed the hell out of it with alcohol and then filled it up completely with alcohol and poured it out and then let it air dry... Should that be clean enough??

well....

there really is no way to know for sure... If you're paranoid (like me), then you could:

1) Buy some sterile glass vials, and some 0.45 micron or 0.22 micron syringe filters
2) syringe filter the contents of your shampoo bottle into the glass vials
3) heat the glass vials in boiling water for 10-20 minutes (water about half way up the vial, don't let the rubber stopper on top get wet)

That should kill whatever might be in there. Of course some people will call this overkill, but like I said, I'm a paranoid fuck who won't inject just anything deep into my body.

PS: next time, get a sterile saline bottle.

Clean does not mean sterile.....I would at least filter it.......
