MODS IF YOU COULD MAKE STICKY ID APPREACIATE IT: THE SURVEY IS ALSO UP ON THE FOLLOWING BOARDS: RENEGADEBODYBUILDING, RIPPEDMASS, FITNESSBOARD, MESO-RX, MESOMORPH, AND A FEW OTHERS THANK YOU

SURVEY:

The survey is to find out what agents people are using and what doses are being used. There is some beleif in the medical community that AS are not used anymore
due to testing in most sports. I disagree as I am sure you do. There is also issues surrounding doses used and stacks used. Most believe athletes use prescribed doses as stated in the package inserts. I disagree
also. We are attempting to learn more and publish this so others know AS are used and their prevelance needs to be addressed. There are lot of myths surrounding AS that need to be cleared up, but no one wants to research them.

We are trying to get a new study going where we administer AS to athletes at doses that most people use. That is one reason I need as many people as possible to fill out the survey. It is the building block to get funding etc.. for a new study..

Our approach as you know, is to provide scientific literature to discuss AS usage.

I need 100+ people to complete the survey to make it reliable, and when the results are tabulated I will forward them on to everyone. (Results will be forwrded to Admins on each site)

Brought to you by your friends @ www.mesomorph.net

Error Message

For those it does'nt work for if you are getting a error message, I think the reason is b/c you may be using IE6.0..

It is the newest but has the most flaws and doesnt read somethings very well..

Your help is appreaciated. please keep this thread bumped guys & gals

I don't know that a survery of 100 people that frequent boards that are open about AS use would be considered reliable...

The reason for a minimum of 100 people

Which has been surpassed i sure. Is the more people who use a/s that take the survey the better chnaces we get to recieve moeny for funding of the next research project. This research is being done through a big ten university. UI I my self have been physically involved in some of the past research as well.

I would do it but I keep getting the error message....

Did you try to..

refreshb the screen a couple times? those it does'nt work for if you are getting a error message, I think the reason is b/c you may be using IE6.0..

It is the newest but has the most flaws and doesnt read somethings very well..

I hope this survey will not be used against us steroid users as it could be if desired. Some of the questions were loaded questions. "Have you experinced withdrawel?" "Did you feel like you had to keep using Anabolic Steroids?" "90% of Anabolic Steroid useres reported withdrawel symptoms and experinced a desire to keeps using these powerful drugs." I'm sorry. I'm not pointing fingers." But I HAVE seen loaded surveys with half truth answers givin to the medical community. I have read that men's testosterone levels are below the normal testosterone levels that were taken in the 1950's. That men's testosterone levels then were between 750-1200 ng/dl of blood. Now days if you are 300 or so or over they tell you that you are normal. Ofcourse if a man that has a below normal testosterone level takes a shot of testosterone he wants to keep using it! Just like if a person never gets enough to eat and then you start feeding him right he is never going to want to return to his below normal caloric intake.

I've been in a few of the studies

have'nt seen any negativ reports yet... We are just providing the facts. Looking to get enough people to take this survey so we can do the next project o administering people with such doses.

Anabolic Steroid Use in Weightlifters and Bodybuilders: An Internet Survey of Drug Utilization.
Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine. 15(5):326-330, September 2005.
Perry, Paul J PhD; Lund, Brian C PharmD, MS; Deninger, Michael J PhD; Kutscher, Eric C PharmD; Schneider, Justin PharmD

Abstract:
Purpose: Dietary supplements and ergogenic agents, including anabolic steroids, are common components of present-day bodybuilder and weightlifter training regimens. Prior reports of anabolic steroid use suggest polypharmacy and high doses of injectable agents.

Hypothesis: To provide an updated description of anabolic steroid regimens employed by weightlifters and bodybuilders and to determine the extent to which anabolic steroid-associated behaviors are consistent with substance dependence.

Study Design: Web-based survey.

Methods: Links to the Web-based survey instrument were established from leading bodybuilding and fitness web pages. The questionnaire included demographic information, anabolic drug use history, adverse effects, information sources, and steroid use behavior consistent with criteria for a substance dependence disorder.

Results: A total of 207 subjects provided a detailed anabolic steroid drug history. Steroid regimens included a mean of 3.1 agents, involved cycles ranging from 5 to 10 weeks, and often included doses 5 to 29 times greater than physiologic replacement doses. Behavior consistent with a substance dependence disorder was endorsed by 33% of respondents.

Conclusions: These findings suggest that anabolic steroid use among weightlifters and bodybuilders continues, generally involving multiple steroids and additional dietary supplementary agents. The adverse effects, polypharmacy, large dosages, and risk of substance abuse are all major health care concerns that require further study.

Clinical Relevance: The survey findings provide sports medicine practitioners a reasonable estimate of the expected drug history among bodybuilders and weightlifters for the use of performance-enhancing agents.
