Surprising erotic-thriller

Stunning visuals

Great atmosphere

Interesting ambiguous characters and good acting (Meg Ryan is surprising, Mark Ruffalo is excellent as a cop, Jennifer Jason Leigh is awsome)

Not too bad plot (though the end is deceiving)

It's crude and a bit provocative

It's a bit dark and depressing with those visuals of NYC

Blood + sex = Jane Campion's In the Cut (2003)

Despite some rather harsh reviews (mostly because of the sexual content), this film is worth seeing

As I said it's not the best movie of the century but trully original, with good acting and visually stunning
