Supplements for softer smoother skin

Are there any supplements/vitamins that will make skin naturally softer without having to use lotion? I heard from someone that Vitamin E will, but im not too sure about that.

I have heard multi's and especiallu vit c. Also, drink lot of water and it will dp wonders for everything, especially one's skin
