Just wondering what supplements you take- I love the Gluceroll and T-rex, but what additionally- what kind of multi-vitamin, Glutamine......thanks!!

Supps I take:
- my multi, believe it or not, is a prenatal vitamin. I love these things. And no I'm not plannign to conceive any time soon either.
- glucorell
- cardio breeze
- neurogenix
- cycling t-rex & NYC+ (older AF Store product) -- alternate every couple weeks
- ALCAR
- L-rex
- MSM + glucosamine -- helps w/ my tendonitis
- fish oil tabs
- amino acids

What do you use to carry all these supps with you- vitamin case?? Baggies??

I take a multi - plain old Flintstones Chewables for kids. 1 tablet delivers enough of everything. I supplement with 400mg of Folic Acid too (this gives me 800mg Folic Acid, but I am trying to conceive, this is why I want more Folic Acid).

Glutamine is good for recovery. When I took it, I saw a HUGE increase in endurance and stamina. Plus, reduced recovery time.

I would cycle Thermogenics. I would do 2 weeks on T-Rex, then do 2 weeks on another product. Cardio Breeze seems like a good one. Awhile back, I was doing 2 weeks on TRex, 2 on Ephedra.

You do not need to cycle r-ALA. I would take this consistently.

Fish Oil tabs are good also.

The only supplements I carried around were the Thermo's. Everything else I took in the AM or PM when I was at home. If you work indoors, I would just keep a supply in the office. I would NOT keep any supplements in a car (or gym bag if you leave it in the car). Especially with summer approaching - heat can break down many supplements. ALA comes directly to mind here.

I have all this stuff lined up on my counter in the morning. Trust me, I hide it away when my parents come because it freaks them out -- all the bottles. But most of it is stuff I take either first thing in the AM or with Meal 1. I do also carry a baggie w/ fish oils, aminos & some of the thermos for later in the day.

Other thing you can do is peel labels off travel sized Tylenol, etc. I used a Sharpie marker to write names of supps on them and tossed them in my purse or gym bag. That way, they were still in a bottle, but a smaller bottle.

Question for Sassy-
Why do you use a pre-natal vit and did you notice better results or not w/ it than a regular multi vit/mineral? And what brand are you using and where did you get it? I'm looking for a new multi but i don't want something that could possibly have anything that has estrogen in it or trigger estrogen. Thanks!

I haven't looked at the bottle extensively to compare it to regular multis, but generally it is just lots of more of the components, and I guess it also has folic acid & iron. So watch the iron as it makes a few people I know rather sick. The folic acid I've taken in additoin to my regular multis so I couldn't say that that is the magic ingredient. I would suggest you talk to the pharmacist at your local CVS or whatever & ask. I'm working w/ a new trainer & learnign some new stuff. Don't always get a chance to get the complete answer for "why", but it seems to be doing wonders for my nails anyway :)

I bought the Whole Foods Market brand of prenatals.

Thanks for the great info!! What kind of aminos do you use and how many/when???? Thanks

Pre-Natal vitamins are just potent multi-vitamins - there are NO hormones in them. Estrogen isn't a PG hormone anyway - progesterone is more prevalent.

Pre-Natals just have more Folic Acid and Iron. That is about it.

A normal multi is fine. Like I said, I take Flintstones Children's Chewable.
